Can you reallocate borrowed points

In May (before banking window) we are taking a trip with DS and family. In Sept (after banking window) we might take a trip with DD and family. For the Sept trip we would need to borrow points. If for some reason before the May , the Sept trip falls through, can we apply those borrowed points to the May trip, thus enabling us to bank unused points.

Yes, MS will do that. You would need to do it at least 31 days prior to your May check-in otherwise those points they were freeing up for you to bank would actually go into holding and the process would not help you at all.

Yes! They just did that for me on phone with member services. I didn't even have to ask!

Thank you. I've only borrowed a few points before so If I lost them, no biggie. But I don't want to lose 60-70 points if I don't have to.

Thank you. That was the plan. I was just afraid to book a room now without knowing for sure if the trip was happening. We would know in about a month, but of course the soon you book, the better chance of getting what you want.
