Can you "practice" making dining reservations?

Before your actual 180 day window arrives, can you practice with the new online system? I know if you enter actual information, it will recognize your ahead of your 180 window, so I'm trying to figure out how I can practice and it still be as close to what it will actually be like on the day I book so I'll know what to do.

We've been twice before and this is our first trip to know ahead enough time to make reservations on the 180 day mark. I'm so excited about being able to be right on the mark so I don't want to mess anything up by not knowing how to work the site.

Any suggestions on how to quickly, accurately, etc. make online reservations? I don't want to be slow as a turtle messing with the site next week on the day when I'm trying to make reservations because I'm unfamiliar with the process and then cost us the meals we want.

I was worried about that too and I just finished mine this morning. It was a SNAP!!! Just play around with the system and then on the morning of your ADRs:

Log in early
Open a few windows ( I used 3)
have your Resort reservation pulled up
you are ready to go!!!

Thanks for the help. What is the fastest link to begin the process? Do you click on discover and then dining, or do you click on plan and then dining? Another option is to click on book and then dining reservations. You can make reservations through all of these options, but which is fastest? I'll continue to play with it, but I'm sure someone knows a simple way to go about this process that would make this ordeal easier.

doh- i feel stupid- where do you find your resort reservation?
can this be done only if you book directly with disney

Vickie - What 3 windows did you open and why do you have them open at the same time? I'm just trying to get myself prepared when I make my ADR's later this week.

Jada- I booked through AAA and the reservation number my TA gave me DOES pull up my ressie on the dining page. It won't work on the resort reservation page, however.

I did my ADRs today and it didn't require any resort reservation info. Is that because my trip is in like 40 days (1st week of Feb)?

I hope I'm doing it right.
