Can you point me in the right direction?

Last year when I was planning my trip I was lucky enough to find a post, or possibly a link, to a site that gave suggestions on what to do 60 days before departure, then 30 days, then one week, then one day... it was really helpful, can anyone point me in the direction of that site/link - or can you pass along your suggestions on the topic.. ie confirming reservations, confirming priority seatings, etc etc etc... I had it all saved on my laptop but recently had to wipe it out and lost all that planning from last year thanks in advance.
