Greetings Everyone: I've been planning my trip to WDW, and I'd love to get input from everyone. I'm a little concerned about the heat and crowds during Labor Day weekend, but that's when we're able to go. We have a family of 4 including me, DW, DD7, DD4. My DW is very sensitive to heat - so I bought a mistymate fan for her. I hope it works because it is expensive. Thanks for your help.

The only suggestion I would make it to go the the AK rather than Epcot Sat. am for EMH. It always seems to be the hottest park, and if your daughter is sensitive to the heat, you might do better starting the day early.

At this point, you may not be able to switch your Epcot breakfast though...

Thanks for the suggestion about switching my AK and EPCOT days. I checked and the EPCOT princess breakfast closes on September 4th. Saturday September 3rd is the last day for this restaurant and it will close for refurbishing.

If your wife is sensitive to the heat, here's a suggestion that keeps me cool. Take a washcloth in a small Ziploc bag. She can use that in the bathrooms to wet the cloth down and wash off. It really is a life saver for me. Plop the wet cloth back into the Ziploc and it's good to go for the next time she needs it. I've often been commented to about women wanting to do the same thing.

Also, if you can, take an extra shirt and socks. We do that all the time and it's a great way to feel refreshed. Just take a big Ziplocs for the stinkies.

Those are both excellent suggestions! Thanks alot. My wife is extremely sensitive to the heat, and I think she is particularly concerned about it and the crowds. We're keeping our fingers crossed neither is too bad.

Well, Mouse Skywalker, we'll be down there with you that weekend. We went last year and it wasn't that bad at all. It was hotter than usual, though. Glad the suggestions helped out. Also realize that you can refill that Misty Mate up from the many water fountains around Disney World. We always take an empty water bottle with us and use that to maintain the fluids during the day. I think my husband sweats when he sits up so we're well versed in keeping cool.
