can you pay OOP for some/DDP for others

If I (mom) go with my 3 kids (2 are young, 1 is 10), can I use DDP TS credit for me, pay for little kids meals OOP and appetizer for 10 yr old OOP? 10 yr old wants crab and I see that Coral Reef has crab claws--but I don't want to waste an adult TS on her when she is not going to eat the other stuff.

Also, same question for Kona Cafe? Pay OOP for little ones and appetizer for 10 yr old?

Since you are all on the DDP, I don't see why not. We took our children to Coral Reef and they wanted ice cream and scenery. The food did not appeal to them at all. We used 2TS for DH and DW and the 4 children we paid OOP for ice cream and sodas. We explained all this to the server and he was fine with this.

it does depend..

we have told servers right up front, that we want to order "OOP" ( wine for dinner) and we've told them dd "ate in the parks, and we want to pay oop for her" no problems..

for one of our buffets dd refused to eat so they didnt charge us ( we were hoping she would calm down.. but no) and our very last buffet before we left, we only had 2 TS and 3 of us eating, we told the server and said we'd have to pay - no problems!

what if you get to the end of your stay and you have only 1 adult Ts left? I assume that I can use the final TS credit and then just pay OOP for the kids when no TS credits are left for them?

The only exception to that, Ido, is 2TS restaurants: You cannot use 1TS credit at 2TS restaurants (i.e., pay "half price" for one diner...)

just wondering, b/c I can envision my 10 yr old looking at a few menus on our trip and not wanting the entrees and then I could just pay OOP for her to have an appetizer or sandwich and have a left over adult TS. thanks.
