I’m wondering if I can use my Disney Rewards CC to pay the DVC annual dues monthly? Meaning will DVC allow an automatic payment withdrawal for this?
Has anyone tried this?
Thx,
~PT

I used the reward card for te entire dues. Not sure about monthly.

I've heard that you can set up the monthly bank account debit, but you can go into your account and pay the monthly fee before the money is due each month and pay with a gift card or credit card.

I made a partial payment last week and it wouldn't let me use a credit card. It said people enrolled in auto pay could only make partial payments using a gift card or Disney Rewards Redemption card.

We buy Disney gift cards with a rewards card, bought our first $2000 yesterday.

If you are setup for monthly dues payments, you can't make partial payments using a Credit Card.

I pay my dues monthly (well, bi-weekly, actually) but I pay them to myself. I have a direct deposit set up to an online money-market account so every two weeks, $40 comes out of my paycheck and into that account. I never see it so I never even miss it. Then, around November, I start watching for deals on gift cards at Target and Best Buy. This year, I was able to snag $1000 worth of gift cards for $900. I used the money in the account to buy those gift cards and turned them into Disney gift cards which I used to pay my dues in January. I saved about 10% on my dues this way and it was a nice, painless way to save throughout the year. It was better than any credit card reward, but I could have also paid with a credit card and used the money in the account to pay off the bill. Since I am earning interest on the account, and the amount I am depositing is enough to cover my dues even if I can't get the gift cards at a discount, I am always left with a nice cushion to start the next year, which helps to cover annual increases.

Yes. We did so, IN FULL, about Dec 29, 2017. That would be a general reply to the posted topic question.

You can pay in advance monthly on credit card if that helps budgeting, but you need a direct debit to pay this year's off in arrears over the year.
So if you wish to make advanced payments on credit card log on and make a payment. If you've already paid this year's dues it will lodge as a credit against next year. I'm planning to pay off $80 a month this way myself.

We do the same...buy Disney Gift Cards with our rewards CC and use that to pay annual dues!

So I wound up calling DVC. The only way to set up automatic withdrawals or payments is through a bank account because the fees associated with credit cards are too costly.
If I choose to pay my dues myself (I am referencing my 2018 dues) they would need to be paid by 2/14/18. So essentially if I want to earn points on my rewards card I would need to pay the dues up front whereas if I keep it the same I can spread it out over the year.

Yes, I’m fact I heard on here that Chase sees it as “travel” and those with Chase Sapphire Reserve cards we’re getting 3X the ultimate regards points.

Funny how Chase sees spending sometimes. A clear travel/dining event (highway in the sky) they refused to give me the 3X!

Yes, Chase does code dues and DVC direct purchases as travel and you get 3x points on those, plus with the Reserve card the points are worth 1.5x when redeemed for travel through the portal. Not bad!

Yep, great card! Especially with that 100K sign up bonus last year!
