Can you order a cake at Hoop Dee Do?

I want to get a cake for my mom but there is only one night that our whole group will be together and it's at the HDDR. Can I order a cake there or should we just enjoy the strawberry shortcake?

I don't know. I'm sure you can call and ask. But I gotta tell you, they have one of the best desserts on property! So I wouldnt miss it. They do make a big deal about birthdays during the show, though.

I'd stick with the short cake. There is not a lot of time for the servers to bring out special cakes; I'm not even sure they do so. The show is fun - the food is good - it will be special without a special cake I think

Thanks everyone, I agree I guess cake would be too much. I just want to do something special for my mom because she put this whole family reunion trip together for us and is taking so many of us to Disney! She's not interested in any tours (wants to spend her time with my kids), can't do a cruise because she gets sick on boats so I thought little "Thanks Mom" cake would be nice. I guess I'll just do it on a day when my brother won't be there.

The short cake is so awesome that I can't imagine having regular cake too! I've heard if you call ahead, then can make something special, but I too don't know when they'd bring it out. The servers are running around so much and clearing tables and bringing food out that I don't know if they'd have time. I'm sure they'd make time, but I would just stick with the shortcake.

Man...now I'm craving some strawberry shortcake...

Even if you don't do the cake, let them know that you are celebrating a birthday. They may do something special for your mom.

Maybe since everyone will be there that evening, make sure to get a GROUP shot of everyone in it. Maybe hang around after the show to make it happen.

Then have it printed and framed to give to her after you get home.
