It was set in an indoor theater, live show on stage - not a movie, perhaps with real people as opposed to animatronics, people sat in the audience like at a concert. I think it was more geared to children and it had something to do with a science lab. Not sure if it was derived from a cartoon or a movie. I don't think it's there anymore because I couldn't find it on Universal's website. I'm not sure which Universal Orlando park it was from. I saw it about 7-8 years ago or so. It was cute. Sound familiar to anyone?

It may be older that 7-8 years, maybe 10 or more?

I was also thinking Ghostbusters, I don't remember it being cute though. They had some freaky parts in that didn't they?

Could it be the old Nickelodeon soundstge show that was taped in US until 96 or so,when Blue Man Group came to Uiversal? Some of the things in the show(s) resembled a science lab. It would be in the soundstage next to the secret entrance to US, where Rip Ride Rocket is now.
It started off as a tour,(or used to at 1 point) going thru some of the things behind the show, like how they made the gack or slime, then you actually sat down in the bleachers and either saw a slime time type show, or something similar, with people from the audience in the show getting slimed. There was everal different types of shows that were in that building over the years.

Heres Wikis explanation
