If we had a stay booked in the Disney Collection for a Sunday, Monday and Tuesday night can we switch that to Monday, Tuesday and Wedesday night?

Is there any type of fee involved if we are even allowed to move dates?

Any information is appreciated.

Thanks

:listen: reservation points, staying at a non dvc resort? i think you can switch days as long as the points are the same, example:
sun. mon. tues. are 29 points a day staying at the akl switching to mon.tues,wed. are also 29 points per day at the akl. as long as it is available, you should be able to call ms and switch out the sun. for wed.:sunny:

Each Concierge Collection hotel seems to have their own policies. There's a chart in our member book (and probably on the web site). I don't think you'll have a problem if there is availability and you are far enough out not to be effected by cancellation policies (even then they may work with you if you are just moving days). It's possible MS may charge a fee so you might want to check that before making the change.

I just took a look at the Member Site. The Concierge Collection section of the on-line Member Guidebook has all the details including a chart with cancellation policies. I also found this:

A change to a reservation is considered a cancellation and rebooking, and will require an additional $95 non-refundable transaction fee.

I made the change this morning.

I was able to juggle dates. There was no fee involved because this reservation was in the Disney Collection. MS did mention that I would have had to pay a fee if this was in the Concierge Collection.

My resort was full so I did have to switch resorts.

Oh well, everything went well with MS.

Cool.... glad there was no fee...

Where did you try to book and where did you end up??

Laurabearz,

We had a reservation at YC Concierge Oct. 19 for 3 nights. We booked the 22nd with cash. We found out this morning that we had to switch that to Oct. 20 for 3 nights.

Well, MS wasn't showing availability for the new dates so we had to switch over to AKL Concierge.

I really felt bad when I called the CM's at YC Concierge to tell them and get the credit for our cash night. They have been WONDERFUL, beyond wonderful.

We have to stay in Panama City Beach on the 19th for something work related.

We are on the waitlist for the Sunrise Safari on Oct. 21

Once again, the CM's at MS were very helpful, made the changes and reviewed all of my used pts and pts coming, etc.

Thanks for posting your experience with reservation points floridafam. We have a fair amount of reservation points that have to be used by July 31st and I am contemplating booking either 4 nights at the GF, 5 nights at the YC or 5 nights at the Grand Californian if we decide to visit Disneyland instead. I wasn't sure if there would be a fee to book and I'm glad to know there isn't.

Have a great trip!

Sorry if I confused you --- I must have been asleep because I missed that you were talking about Disney hotels. I'm also glad to hear everything has worked out -- even if it meant switching hotels.
