Can you modify unused FP+ after the window closes?

This may be a stupid question, but I couldn't find an answer anywhere. Disney's website says they "recommend" changing the time/experience before the window, or "see a CM". If, for example, I have a FP+ booked for a ride at 11:15, but I sleep in or linger at breakfast, and don't show up to the park till 12:45, do I forfeit that FP+ if I don't modify it before 12:15? TIA

No. You can change it. I couldn't change ours though until that time window had closed. The app was kind of quirky doing it but you do not lose the fp.

We totally slept through a 9 am fast pass in January. I was able to rebook it after 2:00pm that day for a later time and still keep my other two FP+.

Yes, you can modify the FP+ but if you want to change the attraction you must first change the time on the original attraction. For example, you have BTMR at 10:00am and just ride stand by as lines are short. After your window has ended go and change the time to any time in the future that is available. Then go back and change it to whatever other attraction you want. If you just want to change the time though it is easy. Or at least this is the way it worked on our Sept, Nov, and Jan. trips with FP+

Add on question:
I just booked all of us (me dh dd ds) with the same fast passes at the same time however I can't do rides because I get nauseous. After DS goes on Soaring can I send him through again with my FP+?

Technically no, because FPs (like park tickets) are non-transferable.

You can give your DS your MB so that he can ride it again. Mickeyonasticky says that they're not transferable, but people did it all the time when they were paper tickets (either letting another member of their party ride twice or passing them on to other guests if they couldn't make use of them) and I've definitely read here about people doing it with MBs. (Well, not passing them on to other guests, but letting other people in their party use them. ;))

Yeah, it's a technicality since the real thing is that park tickets are non-transferable. And since FP+ are linked to your park tickets....

Whether anyone will know is a different matter entirely.
