Can you make more than one ADR for the same time?

OK, you have been a big help so far, so here is another question or two:

There are a few days of our 10 day WDW trip that we have narrowed down to 2 parks, depending on what we accomplish at the beginning of the vacation. Is it possible for one person to make ADR's for two different parks for the same meal, and cancel one a couple of days before the event? How about different ADR's for 2 people in the same room? I am within the 180 days, so will Disney Dining even ask for lodging information?

Also, my wife and I may separate with 1 child each on certain days, and visit different parks. Can an ADR for 4 be used by two people? And do they require some kind of ID to be seated if we separate?

So many questions, so little time! :woohoo:

You will not get them to make them for the same time at 2 restaurants in the same call. You may if you call twice and they don't notice. It has been stated that they will choose one for you and cancel without you knowing wich one. Officially this is not allowed and just to warn you it is a HOT topic around here.

Disney has been cracking down on duplicate ADR's and making people cancel them when they see them.

Officially you should not make two ADRs at the same time in two different parks. Assuming I am understanding the last part of your question correctly, I don't see any reason why you and your DW can't each have an ADR for an adult and child at two different places. I assume folks traveling with large groups must do this all the time. If you want to be clear that you are doing this (versus doubling up) I'd put on in your name and one in hers. But since it will be for 2 not 4, I don't see why this would be a problem.

If you book 2 reservations by going around Disney's system, you are keeping another family from getting the chance to have whichever table you give up for that day/evening.

People do find ways to try to do this but I personally am glad to hear Disney is cracking down on it (Yes they will ask you for lodging info when you call to make the ADR) and yes you could have 2 people show up for a 4 person ADR but again, you're keeping other people out who could have had the spot if you could make your mind up in advance. If you know you're going to split up some days why not just book them for 2 people instead?

I don't mean to sound mean about it, but to me with as scarce as tables are at WDW these days, it just seems an unkind thing to tie up two ressies knowing full well you can't be in two places at once, especially since they really aren't giving them away to walk ups if ppl cancel last minute. I hope Disney comes up with a system to track reservations better thus allowing more people to have a chance to get TS somewhere during each day of their trip by preventing people from double booking.

I hope you have a great trip wherever you eat. :hippie:

I called last night to change some ressies for the millionth time:blush: and asked the CM to look up all of them to see what I had. On one day I had 3 ressies for dinner the same night :scared1: ! I KNOW I cancelled the Fantasmic Package as I believe that is one of the ones that you need to have a credit card to reserve. I wonder why it was never cancelled when I called. ANyway, the CM last night cancelled all of my doubles and triples for me and was quite apologetic that they weren't cancelled when I had called the other time. I would recommend to anyone who has made changes to their ADR's to call and ensure ressies that you wanted to cancel are really cancelled.

I have my hp,cp and my mother's cp numbers,so if I'm not sure of where I want to eat,I'll use different numbers and my sister's name or mother's name for the ressie.

As others have said, by doing this you are preventing another family the chance to get an ADR for where they want to eat. I think this is very selfish and unfair. You can not be in 3 places at once.
Secondly, you are breaking board rules by posting about a way to break disney rules/

I wouldn't, as it takes away from other guests who might want a dining time.
