Can you make cookies from a brownie mix?

I've read about making cookies from cake mixes but I'd like to know if you can also make them from brownie mixes. I would imagine it would be slightly different, and I don't want to mess up!

There were some scrumptiously decadent chocolate cookies I had at a business meeting that I found out were from a grocery store bakery; they tasted very much like brownies and had a chewy quality. I would love to know how to modify a store bought brownie mix to make similar cookies.

No, the recipe is pretty much the same! Just substitute the brownie mix for the cake mix!
They will of course be denser & chewier.

1 (21.2 oz.) package fudge brownie mix (or cake mix)
1/2 cup vegetable oil
2 large eggs
1 cup white chocolate chips or milk chocolate chips


Here's a recipe that uses 1 less egg & oil & adds water:

Chunky Brownie Cookies Recipe
1 (19 7/8 ounce) box fudge brownie mix
1 large egg
2 tablespoons water
1/3 cup vegetable oil
1 cup chocolate chips (or other kind of chip if you prefer)

Mix these ingredients together (INSTEAD of the usual ingredients listed on the box for making a cake.) You will get a very stiff mix instead of batter. This is right.

Roll into balls, flatten slightly onto greased cookie sheets.
OR: Drop by spoonfuls onto greased cookie sheets.
Bake at 350 for 7 to 10 minutes.

I also found a fantastic recipe for really moist cookies on Recipezaar - I can't remember the exact name it was something like "carol's really chewy chocolate chip cookies" and it included instant pudding (which we call Angel Delight here) and suggested using that to make double chjoc cookes. Yummy! Word of warning though, they are 5 WW points EACH
