Can you mail post cards in the park?

Hi,
I was wondering is there a place in the Magic Kingdom where you can mail post cards that will have a stamp saying it was mailed there, not an actual postage stamp . Thanks!

Ooh I think you can....or maybe I'm hoping you can...but I really thought I'd read somewhere that you could.

I'd like to do the same when I'm there...I'd like to mail some fun stuff to my niece

You can send postcards, letters and packages from all Disney Theme Parks at the following locations:




Magic Kingdom theme park – Station Break underneath the Main Street Train Station
Epcot theme park – Entrance Plaza
Disney's Hollywood Studios theme park – Oscar's Super Service just inside the main entrance to the Park
Disney's Animal Kingdom theme park – Garden Gate Gifts just inside the main entrance

Disney Theme Parks also have mailboxes where you can drop stamped postcards and letters for delivery via U.S. Postal Service.

Postage Stamps Postage stamps are sold at all Walt Disney World Resort hotel gift shops. They are also available:

At City Hall in Magic Kingdom theme park.
At the shops near the lockers in Epcot theme park, Disney's Hollywood Studios theme park, Disney's Animal Kingdom theme park.
At Guest Services in the Downtown Disney Area.

I was in Disneyland last summer and a CM told me that if I put the post cards in the mailbox on Main Street it would get a stamp saying that it was from Disneyland. I mailed myself a postcard, and when I got home there was no stamp saying that it was from Disneyland. I know WDW may be different, but just thought I'd add something. Maybe they just don't like me!!

Just an FYI...The things mailed from WDW are postmarked from Lake Buena Vista, NOT WDW.

Also, if anything you're mailing is time sensitive, you might want to be sure to add a day or 2 to "normal" expected delivery and plan accordingly. The USPS truck doesn't drive through the parks daily to pick up the mail directly.

We sent postcards from Main St. last week. The ones that our friends have received did not have anything special stamped on them. We thought there might be something on it, but no...just the normal postmark...nothing to designate where it was sent from.

I mailed two postcards from DHS last Saturday. When I bought them,the CM told me I had to drop them off at guest relations. When I did on my way out,I saw a CM stamping some mail. When it was my turn to be helped,I asked if the other CM was putting a special mailed-from stamp on the letters. She was,and I saw that my post cards were stamped from DHS,so the children I mailed the cards to will really think that Mickey and Minnie wrote them!


ETA:It wasn't a postal meter stamp;she put this stamp in the bottom right hand corner of the card.

There used to be a place in DTD where they would postmark it that it was mailed from Disney. It was in the store that did had the scrapbook stuff and that store is connected to The Art of Disney. The store now does personalized Tshirts. Not sure if they still do this or not.
