Can you leave the parks on NYE?

After you get to the park of your choice on NYE do you have to stay all day and night? Can you leave with a hand stamp and get back in?

I don't know for sure, but from my understanding, I don't see why you wouldn't be able to leave. And if you get your hand stamped and have your ticket, I don't see why you can't get back in. The only exception I can think of is if you have a one day pass, then you can't - for example leave the magic kingdom and go to epcot.

You are certainly allowed to leave, there's just no guarantee that you'll get back in. Simply having the handstamp from that morning does not guarantee you re-entry if the park has been closed at capacity.

My neighbor was MK on this NYE and she said by 10 am the park had closed and if you left they would NOT let you back in even with a hand stamp.

She also said that they started handing out horns at 4 pm and that just about did her in. I can't imagine the crowds AND the horns. No thanks..
