I can't get a reservation for my family of 9 anytime before 8:40 p.m. Do they take walk-ups? Would I be able to walk up at 5 pm when they open and get a table? I've never gone without a PS.

thanks!

Don't know about this as we're doing Chef Mickey's for the first time this year. However, my guess is if there isn't a ps available, you would not be able to walk up. From looking at your counter, it looks like you may be going close to Halloween- maybe why it is so full already. Have you thought about breakfast?
Good luck and keep calling- maybe you'll get a cancellation!princess:

We did a walk up as a party of 3 once but I wouldn't count on it with your party of 9. Good luck!

We've done a walk up with a party of 6 and a party of 7 right at 5:00 PM, this was during the "slow" season however. Not sure if that helps - it really can not hurt to try.

Good luck!:D

We were there on a Sunday recently - inbetween Ivan and Jeanne - and if you didn't have a priority seating they were not letting you put your name in. It was extremely busy - our PS was for 10:50 and we were seated about 11:15. I wouldn't chance it without some other backup plan.

God bless!

I have done it for a party of 5 about 15 minutes before opening. However our wait was about an 1 hour and 15 minutes. And this was during a considered "slow" time the 1st week in December.

But it doesn't hurt to keep trying up until that day and if you are willing to wait you can always try the walk-up approach.

I've never done a walk up but I've eaten there a few times and every time it's really hopping and I have to wait at least 1/2 to be seated with a PS.

Also, they are even more busy when there's parties at the MK. Lots of MNSSHP goers eat there before the party and then head over.

Good luck.

Thank you all for your advice.

We are actually not going to Chef Mickey's until after our cruise so by then it will be November. I know the Food and Wine Festival is going on then but WDW seems packed that week and I thought that would be a slow week! I have a back up plan at Ohanas and guess I will try both. We just love Chef Mickeys!!
