Can you iron-on transfer on CoolMax???

We are going in August From what I understand it will be HOT!!!! So, we are wondering about whether it's possible to make matching shirts on coolmax (polyester) with iron on transfers.

I'd be worried about the amount of heat you need to do iron on.
Have you thought about Fabric paint. I haven't used it in a while but I'm thinking that would be a better option than iron on.

Did you figure out how to make this work? I was thinking of doing the same thing for a September trip.
