getting married at Disney and never discovering this message board. I just thought about how lost I would be if I my only resource was DFTW. Not that they aren't amazing at what they do; I'm just saying that I'm so thankful to have found this board. Everyone here has helped me stay on task, think about things I may have otherwise overlooked, make decisions (large and small), and helped me preserve my sanity.

I don't know what prompted this. I guess I'm feeling thankful a little early this year. Anyhow. Just imagine what it would be like planning your own wedding with out all the amazing ladies on here! It's hard to even think about.

Amen to that! This board is the best thing that's happened to my planning! I think about it a lot actually. Sometimes I feel bad that I spend hours on end reading through everyone's trip reports and planning journals and questions and suggestions and looking through all the pictures, and not doing something else like cleaning up the house or doing some laundry, but I seriously would be so lost without it. My DF recently started working graveyard and it's IMPOSSIBLE for me to sleep when he isn't here, so I spend pretty much every night Sunday through Thursdays on here planning away. Everyone on here is awesome and it's so cool to be able to share all of our ideas and get feedback and vent about this whole process that we're all in together. It's definitely better than any pamphlet or phone call to DFTW!

I totally agree with you!

I don't even know where I would be right now if it weren't for these boards. I love coming on to this board and talking to all my fellow disbrides and hearing about their wedding plans and how their wedding went. Its also a huge support group and I love it!

So, thank you all for being so helpful and supportive through this stressful and crazy time.

Knowing that Disney does somewhere around 2000 weddings a year...and that only a VERY small percentage (maybe 10%?) find their way here does kinda boggle the mind!

Even after two years, I still like coming to this board to see what's new and try to help other brides whenever I can.

I agree with all of you! Every chance that I get I am on this site everyone has so many great ideas, and I love seeing what other people have done. I feel good when I can answer a question for someone. **Plus I would have never found Randy chapman without you guys. So, please keep all the great ideas coming!!!

I totally agree with everyone, I don't post very much but I've been lurking every day since March 2007. I get alot of great ideas and help from this board even without posting. I like reading all the PJ'S and TR's. They are very helpful and when you do have a question someone always has a great answer. Thanks again everyone!

I completely agree! It's so nice to read through journals and get excited about other people's weddings, as well as learn things along the way and be better prepared for my own wedding. I truly believe my wedding will be much better because of this board and all the helpful people on it.

Just add me to the list of those that agree! DFTW has given me next to zero help since I'm 15 months out, so without you guys, I would be blindly planning my wedding! Now I almost know what I want, and I know all about the options that DFTW doesn't tell you about.

I used to be on the knot , the girls there were no help at all. Then I found the DISboards and it was like God smiled down on me
There is no way I would have made it these last few months without this board. I have gotten so many ideas here that DFTW whould have never given me. I had no clue you could have an outside photographer until I came here. Because of the wonderful brides on the board I found out about Randy and booked him, that alone saved me a least $1,000. I also would have never been able to decide on make-up for the big day, but with help I choose Ana. It's nice to have a place where others understand what having a Disney wedding means as well as the lows and highs that come with it. I feel sorry for that 90% who don't know about DISboards, they sure are missing out

These boards MADE me choose Disney!

Being from California, and engaged in Catalina Island, we were going for a wedding there. But as much as I tried, I could not get enthusiastic! Didn't know when we were getting married, or where, just kind of "whatever" about the whole thing.

I was too excited about Disneymooning at the World! Then my honey said one day, "why don't we just get married there?" And DING! We're off.

Now I can't wait to tell people where and when and all about the helpful information I've received from "the boards." Now, some people do look at me weird, since I speak of "the boards" like some holy realm... but who cares! I'm FINALLY excited about it, and it's all thanks to you all!

I have been married for 11 years and LOVE this board. I already told DH that we will have a vow renewal at WDW for 25 years. I want to stay at the GF so I'm starting to save now.

I just wanna join in with the great appreciation to everyone that has helped me so far!

I'm in the UK and my wedding is just under 2 years away, so Disney don't even seem to want to acknowledge me just yet, but if I start to plan a normal Disney trip over a year in advance, what do they expect on my ultimate Disney trip!!

Everyone has been so helpful with my gazillion questions I already have, it's really helped with my obvious impatience to find out information before the peeps at Disney want me to know!

I didn't find this board until after our wedding but Disney did an amazing job and I had the perfect wedding day. If I'd found this board earlier it would have probably cost more because I'd see all the other options out there, so I don't regret that at all (and I know DH doesn't either ) I love coming on the boards and seeing everyone's plans. I love weddings and I love Disney so it's a great combination
