Can you help with gift ideas for 16 year old girls?

My son has two special friends that he wants to buy a gift for. They're both 16 year old girls, one just got her license and the other is going to be getting hers soon. He wants to spend somewhere in theneighborhood of $30--gift cards are out right now (until desperation sinks in) I knew that you guys would have some wonderful ideas for him!

See if they have a favorite scent from Bath and Body works and get some lotion for them.

Something for their phone or ipod, like a case.

Take them on a shopping spree and tell them they have $30 to spend?

How about one of those cd holdrs for ur car with a cd and maybe a nice air freshner- like a yankee candle one. That only works if they will have a car though. It would be cute though to buy it and stuff the other gifts in the slots. U could even add a pack of wet wipes or tissues since I always need those when I have a spill.

I have 2 nieces that age and I did Bath and Body works lotions and sprays and for the other one I did a movie gift card and I put it in this little basket with microwave popcorn, twizlers, junior mints and put celophane around it and a made a big bow out of that ribbon with the wire.

Sorry I'm not that creative, hopefully other people will have ideas too!

Some ideas based on my cousin's wish list and thinking about the juniors who I teach... it really depends on the personality of the girls.

Does either girl have a Pandora bracelet? A charm would be $30. (Bracelets run $35 and up - leather one is cheapest, silver is about $40, etc.)

Bath & Body Works is a great idea. Also, maybe a cool keychain or bumper sticker/window decal?
I also love those really thick fuzzy socks from Aeropostale, Old Navy, etc.
I'll let you know if I think of anything else.

Vera Bradley id cases with keychain holder are popular here. Other ideas........... cute scarf, gift cards for fave restaurants, itunes cards, gift card for mani/pedi. These are all things my dd17 likes.

I second the mani/pedi. I'm currently surrounded by 16 y/o's and the girls love a little pampering. I don't know about your area, but Glitter Toes are a BIGGIE here.

My niece (17) likes Body Shop and the window decals with her initials for the car window. What about a Coach key chain - do you have a Coach outlet nearby? I just replaced my Coach photo holder keychain for about $16, I think.

Maybe a movie they've been wanting to get? A lot of DVDs are about $24-$30 now (not blu-rays).

My 16yo DD loves keychains. Seriously, they all have 10+ on their lanyards with their car keys. She loves hats: fedoras, stocking caps(the crazier the better), etc. Same with socks--knee highs, bright colors, crazy patterns, even mismatched. Bath & Body works is good, too.
Vera Bradley isn't "in" everywhere.

We filled a stocking...Bath and Body works lotion, a key chain, and some candies with a cute little stuffed animal sticking out of the top. You could fill the stocking with anything (lip gloss, CD, nail polish/art, etc), but it was a nice way to present the gift.

lol My DD16 doesn't even know who Vera Bradley is lol. She does however love Bath and Body Works. some more suggestions are ( coming from 3 teenage daughters 19,17,16)
If she has a car : atlas book or local area map, gas card, sun shade, seat cover, air freshener

if she doesn't have a car: itunes card, CD, movie night gift pack ( movie, snacks etc)nail art kit, earrings or other jewelry from Claire's, warm soft fuzzy socks,
They feel weird getting bath stuff from a guy but that's them. They have several guy friends.
Picture frame with pic of a fun day spent together. Hobby items ( scrapbooking etc)/ tools.
