I just wanted to let you know that I've been trying to take care of that big sister of yours while you're away, but I ain't doin' such a great job. You need to finish what you're doing there and get yourself back here pronto so you can take the job back.

You are in our hearts, on our minds and always in our prayers. Hang in there. Hopefully the time will go faster than you ever imagined it could. I just got off the phone with my DD, Chrissy 19. Knowing she is just gag ga over our service men (don't really want to know that much!) I asked her for something to cheer up your son. She says, "Just send him to myspace and tell him to scroll all the way to the right where my blogs are listed." So I go there and have to admit I was a little shocked with what I found! My sweet DD! Yeah right! But she does like to communicate with our troops! By the way, JK stands for "Just Kidding".

The men in our family have served in several branches of the military. My FIL served 3 tours in Vietnam while in the Marines, my Father served overseas in the Air Force, and my brother served in the Navy on a submarine during the Sept 11, 2001 events. Living in San Diego, the military is everywhere. I thought I could find some wise advice for you from those having been in your shoes. This is what I received from my 28 year old brother instead,

Be thankful Dude, at least you have girls.

Not the wisest advice, but I hope it gave you a little smile.
