Can you help me with a computer problem?

In the process of installing programs and deleting programs and goofing off today, I must have changed some settings. Now, when I click on a link in a post a new page opens, but the address bar is empty and nothing loads on the page. Do you have any idea what I did wrong or what I need to change? I use Windows XP Home edition. Thanks.

I don't know if this will work, but try this:

1.) Open Internet Explorer (you don't need to be online).

2.) Click on Tools and then Internet Options.

3.) Click on the Advanced tab.

4.) Click on Restore Defaults.

If it works, then you owe me $50. If not, then WillyJ gave me the idea.

Doesn't XP have a restore function? You could restore the computer to the state it was in prior to your changes.

What version of IE are you using (assuming that is what you are using).

Laura, this is a common problem with IE6... I have found the link (finally) from microsoft on how to supposedly fix it. Truthfully if it doesn't work I'd try uninstalling IE6 and go to IE 5.5. Good luck!!
