Okay, here's the deal. We'll be in WDW 11/30-12/6 and I'm trying to figure out how to fit in the Osbourne Lights. All of our dinner revervations are for 6:30, 3 in Epcot the other 2 in Resorts and 1 in DTD. I'm not sure if it will be dark enough before dinner to really see the lights. How late in the evening can you enter MGM? I assume the park closes at 7:00 p.m. Should I just blow this off for another year?

Thanks, Kathy

Can you push one of your Epcot PS for later? Then you could just walk/boat from Epcot over to MGM in the early evening, stay long enough to see the Osborne Lights, then walk/boat back to Epcot in time for your dinner. Since World Showcase typically stays open until 9 (or have they changed that), if you could have a later PS one day, you could get Osborne and dinner in.

Kathy, you're toooooooooooooooooooo over-scheduled; of course, we're at the opposite extreme with ZERO dinner reservations:D :D :D. I'd either give up one of your dinners or switch the reservation to the BROWN DERBY at MGM....... I LOVE the Cobb Salad there;) ;) ;) ;) .........

Oooh, don't miss the Osbourne Family Lights, Kathy!! They are really spectacular . . . and be sure to get the 3-D glasses!!

Rajah's idea is pretty good. Also, would you consider changing to a dinner at MGM? Maybe the Brown Derby (it's one of the nicer restaurants at MGM, in our opinion)?

Oh NO!!

EROS and I are starting to think alike!!!

The horror, the HORROR!!

Well, it looks like I'll be changing one of those ressies. I wan't even thinking about the the lights when I made them.

Deb, EROS, unfortunately Joe and I have had sever bad experienced with the Brown Derby and said we'd never go back again. Too bad, it would have solved the problem.

Thanks for your suggestions.

How about Mama Melrose?

Not exactly like those Italian restaurants in the North End of Boston, but it was OK for us . . .

I don't usually make any reservation and have never had a problem. Isn't early December a relatively slow time at WDW? I think you would be fine if you just ate a little later one of those nights without a reservation.

LOL:D .........

Deb, does that mean that you decided to heed my suggestion that you pick up the "flyaway" baby doll outfit from V.S.??

Thankfully, we still DIFFER on a few things . . . :teeth: :teeth:

Another similar option would be to change one of your PS to somewhere on the Boardwalk, like Flying Fish or something. That's half the distance from MGM to Epcot so a little closer. :)

(I agree with you on MGM dining. I've had HORRIBLE experiences at the Brown Derby, and even at Mama Melrose. We now limit our MGM dining to Hollywood & Dine, turkey legs, hot dogs, or eating out of the park )

MGM is open until 8 pm on 11/30, then until 7 pm on the rest of your days there.
