Hey guys this is my first post on the US boards. We have been to Disney twice. The first time was April of 04 and then in December of 04. This Ocotber we are leaving to visit my dad in Boyenten Beach on a Sunday. We were going to drive down very early on Wednesday am and go to Disney for 6 days and leave on Halloween. Another reason we are going is due to my bday. :cool1: Now since the 2 times we have been to FL, we have not been to US. We are now thinking to drive down on that Tuesday evening and go to US and staying onsite for one night and doing US the very next day.. Now I know everyone has said do not miss Spiderman...And I bet it's a cool ride. But how do I decide between the 2 parks? Like I said we would only be there for one day?

So the questions are:
1) Help decide between the 2 parks. Looks like US has more things we would want to do, but you never know. Your opinions...

2)What time would the parks close at night?

3) What all can you do at City walk and is there a charge?

4)How does the express line work if your staying on site?

5) ON HHN, if it is covering both parks, will the one extra ticket allow you into both parks?

6) Since DW is not really to keen on people jumping out at her, but I think it would be really :rotfl2: what are the hours of the HHN and how many tickets do they sell to this?

7) What are the nights of the HHN and when can you order tickets? And do they ever sell out?

I am sure many of you have ridden Jaws, but I have not. I think it would be so cool. Is it a totally different experience to ride at night then it is durin gthe day?

And would it take the whole day to see everything?

Thanx again...

I assume since you are staying onsite you will have FOTL passes, so might be able to do them both, or I would presume. I've never had FOTL passes, but if I had to choose one park it would be US.

2)What time would the parks close at night?

Assuming HHN is that night, I *believe* it is around 5pm.

3) What all can you do at City walk and is there a charge?

There are restaurants, clubs? and shops at City Walk, not sure on charges.

4)How does the express line work if your staying on site?

They scan your key in the express line, or atleast such is what I've seen

5) ON HHN, if it is covering both parks, will the one extra ticket allow you into both parks?

One HHN ticket covers you in both parks, assuming both parks are open

6) Since DW is not really to keen on people jumping out at her, but I think it would be really :rotfl2: what are the hours of the HHN and how many tickets do they sell to this?

They sell tons of tickets, no doubt. I believe it's from US/IOA close 5-6pm until .. midnight? I never stayed until the end.

7) What are the nights of the HHN and when can you order tickets? And do they ever sell out?

I don't think the schedule for HHN is out yet, and I'm not sure when you can order tickets. They *do* sell out on peak nights, so if you can .. go on a weeknight although not all of the parks will be open. the HHN lines can go over 200 minutes.

I am sure many of you have ridden Jaws, but I have not. I think it would be so cool. Is it a totally different experience to ride at night then it is durin gthe day?

I haven't rode at night, but I think it would be a complete difference experience, but nothing that you couldn't miss. If you go during HHN and it *is* open (it might not open) .. I'm pretty sure the wait would be 5 minutes at most probably so it would be easy to go on.

And would it take the whole day to see everything?

You can probably fit IOA/US in a full day if you have FOTL. I did US in a full day, with plenty of time to spare including shows and twice in a resturaunt.

Hope the answers are what you expected, tried to answer them to the best of my ability although I didn't know them all for sure :)

They recently dropped the price of the 1-day/2-park ticket so that its only about $10 more than a 1-day/1-park ticket. If you purchase one of these you should be able to see both parks in 1 day (or at the very least, what you want to see at each park) and I doubt it'll be too crowded, but that shouldn't mtter since you are staying onsite.

If you're going to be at Universal on a Wednesday (what I could gather from the post), there's a chance that there may not be HHN that specific evening.

The problem I see with many people, is they can't give up any Disney days. You visited twice recently, yet you still want to go for 6 days and squeeze USF in at the very end for only a day. I'll turn your plan upside down and split it up. It's ok to give up a few Disney days, really, it is. There is much more at USF/IOA than you think.

Boynton Beach is just south of West Palm Beach FL, it's about 2.5 hours away from Disney. When you say you are visiting your dad on Sunday, I assume that means on the 23rd of October, you'll stay a few days, then drive UP to Orlando. Driving up Tuesday night is a waste, because then you're just checking into your hotel and didn't do anything that day.

Most people like to do USF/IOA at the end of their trip if staying onsite, because then they get the FOTL and don't wait in lines. Here, I'll flip everything around.

You wake up early Wednesday morning at 4am, drive up to your Disney hotel, pre-check in, go visit a Disney park, check in at 4pm.
Thursday - Do what ever Disney park opens early (surprise park), another at night.
Friday - Do what ever Disney park opens early (surprise park), another at night.
Saturday - Check out of Disney early am, drive up to USF, pre-check in, get magic keys, visit USF, check out city walk that night, it's mostly shops and restaurants.
Sunday - IOA/USF - you can hop between parks. Do IOA in the morning, HHN that night.
Monday - Check out of onsite hotel, do favorites you missed, drive home.

That's 3 nights at a Disney hotel, and 2 nights at USF/IOA. For some reason, everyone thinks they need to visit 1 park each day and that's it.
Me, I visit one park in the morning, go back to the hotel in the afternoon to rest, then come back at night. So you'll get to see all the Disney parks, and all of USF/IOA. You'll have 3 days of FOTL, plus you'll enjoy the onsite hotel much more at the end of your trip.

If you really need more Disney, then drive up early Tuesday morning, and add one night to the Disney end.
