Can you hear this? (new ringtone for teen's)

Heard a really high pitch at the beginning, but then...nothing. I'm 40.

I definitely want to play it for my 16 year old DD when she gets home!

I heard it as a faint, annoying electrical-type whine.

I must say I'm irrationally glad I could hear it! Maybe I'm not quite old yet!!! :dance3:

I didn't hear it at all but my DD 12 did. She was saying it was hurting her ears and I told her I didn't hear anything. She couldn't believe it. But, I do have bad hearing even though I'm 35.

I heard it, but it hurts my ears! Sounds like a dog whistle to me.

My co-worker (70) couldn't hear it but she said she could "feel" something in her ears. I (22) could hear it, though, and ouch! Now I have a headache.

I have the volume cranked up on my computer.....I can't hear a thing! I thought it was some type of joke but my daughters {15 & 17} who are in the other room didn't have any idea of what I was doing & started yelling and covering their ears. I feel like I have some sort of evil power over them :smooth: This could come in handy when I want the dishes done :rolleyes1

Yes, both DH and I can hear it (both 20s).

As an Education major, this is discerning becuase we talked about it in class and apparently, the kids will be giggling and the teacher has no idea why becuase they can't hear it. I think the issue in school more than anything is the fact tha the authority figure (if you will) is being made to look ridiculous. The other thing we discussed was incoming text messages. I took the stand that most college students do it right there in lecture no matter the size and all they have to do is pull the phone out and click it open. In most schools though (not sure about high schools though), they have to be out-of-sight stored and off.

So, I don't personally see the implications beyond the kids laughing at the teacher. If it was my class, I don't think it would bother me. As a science teacher, I just assigne my goobers some type of project on why they can hear it and adults can't, etc. Make it some sort of educational thing.

Who's brilliant idea was this?!

I think I heard it....I had to listen a few times...and turned my speakers up as loud as they could go....if it was it....kinda sounds like the sound of an older TV starting up??
I will have to try it on the kids....

Wonder if Mabel would hear it??

Nope....Mabel didn't hear a thing

I heard the whole thing and now I have a headache! I felt pressure on my eardrums when it first came on.

(I really just posted this to get to my 200th post!) :)

I didnt hear it and I had the speakers all the way up. I'm 51. DD19 heard it at te other end of the house. So did her bf.

I heard it. It was really nasty sounding! I'm 18, btw.

I'm 31 and I heard it very clearly, I could almost feel it. My 7 yo heard it and begged me to turn it off.

I'm 38, I heard it and now my ears are hurting. :guilty:

My 14 year old son heard it, but said the sound didn't bother him at all.

So in my office we have a 49 yr old, 31 yr old, 29 yr old and me I'm 27. We all heard it sadly... that noise is horrific! Turn the phone on vibrate or something, that is ridiculous!

That hurts my ears,, it sounds different than what they had on tv that was like vibrating the inside of my ear.
I was like theres something wrong with my hear then on the news they say DID YOU HEAR THAT? :)

wow my DH and I must have bad hearing (we're 42), neither of us heard anything but the kids heard it loud and clear !
