Can you hear this? (new ringtone for teen's)

I played the noise and I didn't think it worked since I didn't hear anything, but my 18yo DD just about climbed the walls. :rotfl: The animals (cats and dogs) didn't react at all. I'm surprsed that the dogs didn't hear it. I'll have to see if my DH can hear it and my boys.

I'm 45 and I couldn't hear it but my 7 year old and her 9 year old friend could.

I couldn't hear it but my 17 year old could and the dog sure did!!!

I couldn't hear it until I turned the volume WAY up. My DH could hear it under normal volume which suprised the heck out of me because he is an engineer in a factory and is around loud machines all day..I guess he really does wear his earplugs all the time. When I turned it up so I could barely hear it my son told me to turn it down and he was on the other side of the house. He said it was REALLY loud. I was trying to hear it for so long, it finally gave me a headache. No more of that for me :listen: Amy :sunny:

I could hear it, it's a high-pitched shrill. Both my children could hear it and said it hurt their ears. They both covered their ears and looked at the computer when I played it. They are 3 and 5.

I'm 33.

I could hear it. But not good enough for it to be my ringtone.

I am going to play it for DD tonight and see if she can hear it.

31, didn't hear a thing. BUT my 5 year old ran in here screaming that there was a fire. I think it thought it was the smoke dectector!

I'm 33 and I could hear it perfectly. I can't understand why anyone would want that as a ring tone. Why not just put it on vibrate as the teachers can't hear that either :confused3

BTW, that sound was created and used to keep young people from congregating in public places.

I guess I have hearing loss because even with the volume turned as high as it could go, I didn't hear a thing!

Both my 15 and 16 y.o. sons had no problem hearing it at low volume.

I agree with those that said OUCH!!!!!!!

My girls 10 and 8 said the same thing. We all plugged our ears! The dogs didn't like it either. They stood up and barked at the computer!

BTW- I am 35

I could hear it on the link you posted but yesterday they played it on the news and I heard nothing. My DD9 :earsgirl: was standing next to me when I played it and she said "what is that noise? it hurts my ears".

:rotfl: I turned it all the way up, just to make sure I could hear it and report back how young I am. :teeth:

Unfortunately, I can hear it just fine at low levels and now my ears are going to be ringing all day. :rotfl:

edited to add - I'm 43. Two hours later and my ears are still buzzing.

I could barely hear it in the beginning and it was the most awful sound. After that, I couldn't hear it at all.

BTW: I'm 21

I heard it, I'm 15. I don't think that I would be able to hear it in Wal-Mart, unless I had it on Vibrate.

I am 36 and I heard it. It was a faint annoying shrill that is still ringing in my ears. When I get off work, I will have the kids come see if they can hear it.
