Can you hear this? (new ringtone for teen's)

I'm fourteen and I have a cellphone. I heard it, but I don't know if I could hear it well enouhg to answer it. I'd have to have it vibrate too.

I heard it, but like Sparx said, not sure if it was loud enough to be heard over other noises. BTW, I am 53.

I can't hear it, but then again, I wear hearing aids and can't hear most higher pitched sounds without them, including a regular phone ringing. I guess I don't understand what the big deal is, if they are using the phone in school when they aren't supposed to, for example, someone is still going to see them talking on the phone even if they can't hear it ring.

OUCH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

That seriously hurt my ears!!!!!!! I've always been more in tune to really high pitches though. I would *NEVER* want that as a ring tone. That would just annoy the living day lights out of me and kill my ears every time I heard it!

I'm 29 btw.

I heard it, but it was very, very faint. I'll have to see if my 14YO can hear it when she gets up.

I could hear it very very faint the first few seconds and then I'd lost it. I'm 24.

I heard on the news that here in Britain somewhere they are playing noises like this that, supposedly, only teenagers can hear, in shopping centres to try and stop them gathering in large groups! Not much good if various ages can hear it, is it? Interesting that the tactic has been turned on its head and it is now a ringtone.

Not really all that much use in schools I would have thought because surely the teacher would notice them *answering* the phone even if she/he didn't hear it ring?? LOL

Cya,
Gaspodé

My son played it last night, my husband and I (both 42) heard it faintly but fine, but my other son, 13, was running around screaming that it was hurting his ears :lmao: .

I'm a 43 y.o teacher and I heard it. I guess if everyone was talking in the room I might miss it, but I surely would see someone answering it!

I can't hear a darn thing. LOL I'll play it again when my daughter gets up and my son and hubby get home to see if anyone else can.

That was odd! I heard very faint static. I guess my ears are just on the verge of being too old! (BTW, I'll be 45 next month)

Thanks for linking us to that, I had heard reports of it on TV and wondered if I could hear it. Now I know!

Same age and I'm with you there. It hurt!!

I heard it and ouch! it's too piercing. I'm 26 if that matters :) Isn't this something like a dog whistle where only dogs can hear it since it's so high pitched? lol @ your teen's cellphone attracting dogs everywhere

I'm 37 and I heard it plain as day. I guess I would have some trouble hearing it with competing classroom noises. Interesting...I'll be listening for that when the school year starts!!!!
