Can you have stuff shipped home from Disney?

Like, say we wanted to buy some stuff but didn't want to pack it for some reason or another, can we have it shipped home? Is it overly expensive?

YES! We went to Disney last month. Because we have AAA and could get a 10% discount at World of Disney in Downtown Disney, we did the majority of our shopping there. Our suitcases were overflowing on the way down and we decided early on that if the price was reasonable, we would ship home our purchases.

The cost for shipping is based on the amount that you spend. If I remember correctly, if you spend $100 or more, the most that you can pay in shipping is something like $15.95.

We stopped in the store briefly before going to our dinner reservation. Because we hadn't finished shopping and knew that we were coming back after dinner, we asked a CM to hold a few items for us. We gave them our name and the CM told us just to come back to that register when we returned to the store. When we returned and completed shopping, we went back to that same register we found out that our merchandise had been returned to the shelves! The CM was very kind and gave us FREE shipping - we didn't even ask!

DH and I did that as well. I had actually been eyeing the glasses with the Mickey Icons on them the whole trip, and when we got to the airport I saw them inside the Disney Store and DH said, let's get them and have them shipped home. It wasn't expensive at all, around the $15-$16 for what we spent and they packed everything wonderfully. It arrived a few days after we got home.

I would definitely do it again if I had a bunch of stuff to bring home.

I have all of my things sent to whatever resort I am staying at. The afternoon before I leave I go to where I have to pick up my packages and have them all sent home together from there. Works like a charm and I don't have to keep paying the shipping charge everywhere I shop.

Thanks everyone! I think we'll look into this when we get down there. I don't exactly plan on buying a ton....but you just never know. Man, I can't WAIT to go!!!!!!!

Yes, definitely ship home. DD wanted the castle playset and monorail for Christmas. She and dh went on a ride and I went shopping! The total of my purchase was $171.00 before shipping. After adding shipping it was $175 - when you ship something there is no tax!!!! Basically my shipping cost $4. It's great and I had the stuff within four days of arriving home.

Thanks for asking this question. I wish I would have thought of shipping all the stuff we bought on our last trip. I had to buy another bag and we STILL have to shove it all in. Thank goodness we didn't go over the weight limit on baggage!
