Can you handle one more stroller question?

Question: buy a inexpensive double stroller or rent a double from WDW? They are 6 and 4 and I'm going it alone with two other kids, no spouse coming as he has to work the vacation time. Are the rentals big enough for if these two fall asleep, they are quite tall, but I know that they cannot handle the heat, humidity, the walking, as we are going in June and want to make sure that I know where those two are at all times.

Also, heard about this "switching off option" anyone use it? how does it work?:earsboy: momma:earsboy: DD20:earsboy:DD12 :earsboy:DD6 :earsboy: DS4

We opted to rent a stroller- we paid $32 for 4 days and it was well worth it to not have to lug the stroller back and forth to the bus stop or anything like that. We got a single for my 6 yr old recovering from mono and it was plenty big enough. The doubles looked pretty big and I saw many families with very large kids lounging in the doubles. Plus there is a nice sized pouch for purchases and sweatshirts, and a couple drink pouches...I think we had all 8 travelers crap stuffed in there!

Thanks. I am sitting here and thinking I will opt to rent. We are renting a car and I think I can handle carrying any sleeping child to the car. I will bring a couple of small fleece blankets to put in the bottom of the strollers so they have some padding and stuff....thanks again. :thumbsup2

We did the same- she brought her pillow one day and it was the perfect size fer her little butt area :rotfl2:

At 6 and 4 I would be more apt to rent. I think you would have a tough time finding a double to purchase that will be big enough for a 6 year old. I think the rentals are much better for older kids than younger. My niece and nephew spent tons of time in the double rental around the same age and did great.

Thanks. I was just looking at some doubles to buy and the max weight is usually 100 or only 35 on each stroller...I want to keep the big blue rental in all the parks..I saw a pic of someone's kids all cozy in the big blue double rental from the park. I think it will be perfect. Thanks!

If you have a Disney Chase Visa you can get a free stroller rental. That should save you some money.

Go the Chase Disney Website under the Rewards Icon. You are limited to 2 single stroller rentals per day. All you have to do is show your disney chase visa.

Someone posted this the other day- about the free rental. Last I heard this was only for Disneyland. Are you sure it is for Disney World too?

I just went on Chase's web site and answered my own question. It is ONLY at Disneyland that you get the free stroller rentals. It is not listed under the benefits for Walt Disney World. It would be great if it were a perk there too, but its not.

Yes, I'm sure. If you go to Chase Disney's website and click on rewards it will tell you that is for DisneyWorld too.
