Can you get seated early?

What are the chances of getting seated if you show up early for an adr at Chef Mickey's Dinner? We have ADRs for 6:30pm but I really would have preferred an earlier time so that we could get over to Wishes for 8pm. I am not sure that 6:30 would give us enough time. What do you think?

what i would do, and just saying, it's what *i* would do, not saying it would work!

anyway, i'd get there right when they open...i think that's at 5pm. i've found that's the best time (right at opening) to squeeze in.

so that would be my advise.

On our last trip (May '08), we had 10 different ADR's for dinner. We showed up early to at least 8 of them. (We just happened to be in that particular area at that time...we didn't plan on doing it that way).

At every one except LTT, we were seated early (anywhere from 10-40mins). One of the meals we were seated early for happened to be CM. Our ressie was for 7:30. We showed up at 6:30 (DS loves the CR and we planned on doing a little shopping there, anyway) and we were seated at 7.

BTW, we were out of there before 8, so 6:30 should be early enough if you aren't able to be seated earlier.

Thank you for that info! Did that seem like enough time to enjoy your meal and interact with the characters? I think we'll try to get there early and at least hope to be seated on time.

You can always try. Yes, we have been seated early many times. They will check you in and basically get you seated as fast as they can. Sometimes we have been seated immediately, sometimes with a short wait, but all in all much faster than the reservation time.
