We're heading down in August with our 2 DDs. They love their milk! Can we get milk and juice in the refillable mugs or is it just for coffee, soda, hot chocolate? Thanks!:thumbsup2

Nope, there was no milk. Sorry...

You are better off buying it in the gift shop then the food court, big price difference if you need a lot.

Oh no! :headache: Well, there goes that plan! I was trying to get away with not buying milk. How about juice? Apple, orange? Thanks!

There is no juice at the refill station either - pretty much coffee, water, cola, hot chocolate.

Or you can just get a small cooler, that's what we do. We have done the fridge a couple times, but the cooler works fine too. I understand though with little ones who need their milk. Mine are over that stage but I very much remember...

I was wondering--since Disney has become so health concerned with kids why wouldnt milk be offered at filling stations? do you think because it could go bad-- or maybe many kids have allergies.?
ok--if they offer one brand of milk they would have to offer other choices- full milk, 1%, 2% skim, non fat, soy, rice.

Ok- I answered my own question--- too early yet.

Great idea about the cooler! So, do you just get ice every night/day for it? I think we'll go that route as I don't feel like getting a fridge just for some milk! Thanks!!!!:wizard:

So, there really isn't much for my kids either. They don't drink soda, only milk or juice. I guess it's not worth buying the mug for them.

I feel the same way! My kids never drink soda, occassionally have watered down juice so we're left with milk and water which is fine. However, no mugs. Thought I could get away with buying one mug for both and getting free refills.

Kids have never drank soda. They are juice/milk/water only kids. DD is 12 now and of course all her friends drink soda, so to fit in she always orders one. It sits in front of her the entire meal and usually one sip is taken at the most!

Even better she always orders something gross that mom or dad won't touch! We just consider it part of the cost of eating out, and figure we make it up in the cost of dental bills!:rotfl:

Some of the hotels have apple juice at the drink stations (it is minute maid and distributed from one of the spigots in the soda fountain). I know we have stayed some places where that was an option in teh past and were surprised because it isn't an option at others. I think it was POP that had it, but it could have been PORFQ. I have never seen milk (I think it is just too costly--soda is cheap).

Pop does have the MM apple juice at the stations.

We have always taken a small cooler and only need to refill every 2nd day. We put a towel over it when not using it and it really keeps the cold in.

The mugs just aren't worth it for my DS6. He is a milk and water drinker all the way.

Jessica thanks for confirming it was POP--I hate when I can't remember something clearly. POP also has Slurpees. This was a big deal treat to DS each evening after a hot day in the parks.

My kids were milk kids at home when they were younger but I got them used to drinking water only when on vacation especially in the heat. Any chance that during your vacation you could get your kids to switch over to water?

All the soda is donated from Coke at Disneyland, I suspect it may be the same at Disney World, but don't know for sure. So, you probably take what they are willing to give. I have heard about the apple juice at POP for some time, wonder why it hasn't spread to other resorts.:confused3

Pop definitely has Apple Juice, I had it every morning for breakfast when I was there in Jan 2008. I never purchased refillable mugs before that but I would love to know if POFQ has it.

We've gotten juice at Pop, as mentioned, as well as Contemporary. Only stayed at Pop 1x, but we've stayed at Contemporary 3x and got apple juice in our mugs.

I emailed Disney about this several times, and have received back responses from some pretty high up Disney executives that they will take it under advisement. As a DVC member who spends 2-3 weeks at WDW each year, I will continue to email them about this as we usually get the DxDP and so the mugs are useless to us while we are there. We love using them at home though!

Tiger :)

It would be really nice to be able to get milk in them. My kids don't really drink juice, so that doesn't help us much. They will either be stuck with water or we'll have to buy milk.
