Can you get in trouble for this? Only if "this" is asking this particular question on these boards ;).

Yes, you will exceed stated occupancy. Yes, you open yourself to being labelled a scofflaw devoid of any and all morals (and maybe even worse) ;)..........but if you tell your niece to act like she is a gay in the military you will be just fine. :teeth:

I always figured Disney had a reason for setting a particular occupancy in a room- what reason does Disney have for making a particular room for 4 versus 5 people? They have to have some legitamite reason- I mean why have a limit at all?

Wouldn't extra occupant mean more $$ spent on tickets, souvineers, food, etc.? It obviously has to be a safety issue.

Here's a hypothetical example: say there was a fire in a resort with 500 rooms, and they have on record that there are 4 people in each room- so the firemen would be looking for 2,000 people. Well say half the rooms snuck an extra person in- that's an extra 250 people that are unaccounted for.

I think a major reason that Disney puts a particular number on each room is so they know how many people are staying at the resort in case of an emergency. -Steph
