Can you get connecting rooms, 2 bed plus studio?

There would be 8 of us and I think 2 bedroom would be too restricting and thinking of adding a studio also. Can all this be connected? We are not members and I know this would be alot of points, is this more points than someone might sell? What do you do if there is a problem with the unit and are not members?

Sorry, I forgot to say we might be interested in the BCV's. Is it fairly close to the parking lot if we got groceries?

You could not get it all connected and the additional studio might not even be near the 2 bedroom. You could certainly request it, but again it's a request not a guarantee. I'm sure you could find someone who'd be willing to rent all those points, just post your needs on the rent/trade board.

You could get an adjoining studio and a 2BR, but not connected. The adjoining will be noted, and can't be guaranteed. It will depend on what occupancy looks like at the time, and whether or not people are checking out of rooms in the same area.

You don't say how long you are going for, so I don't know if you could rent "that many" points from one person. There are some people who are willing to rent out large amounts of points.

Self-parking is fairly close at BCVs (although not as close as it is at OKW or SSR :p ).

If you had trouble finding someone to set up the entire trip for you, it would be possible to have one person rent the two-bedroom and another person rent the studio. DVC will do their best to locate them near each other if you make that request.

Once you arrive at the resort, if you have any questions or problems with your villas, you are free to ask questions just as if you were staying in a WDW hotel.

I think there are entrances to the BCV that put you fairly close to the parking. You can also valet park. Just pull up and unload the groceries and either take them in yourself or ask for bell service assistance. There is no charge for valet parking but you should tip.

valet parking, that sounds awesome. One more question please, does the one bedroom living have less space than the 2 bedroom. What I am trying to ask is the tv area bigger to hold 8 people instead of a 1 bedroom that has 4 people,or is it the same with just another bedroom added? Thanks so very much.

It's the same, with a studio added (bedroom and bathroom). If it is a dedicated, you won't get the wet bar in the studio portion.

The living room area is the same in a 1 or 2 bedroom. A 2 bedroom setup is basically a 1 bedroom plus a studio as far as area goes. BCV has some dedicated 2 bedrooms where the second bedroom has 2 queens rather than 1 queen & 1 double sleeper. 8 would be very cramped in a BCV 2 bedroom. You would have a king in the master, a queen sleeper in the living room, 1 queen & 1 double sleeper or 2 queen in the second bedroom.

If you are worried about 8 fitting in the 2 bedroom, try OKW instead. There is an extra bed there compared to BCV, and the rooms are larger, as is the kitchen.

I think I would stay with BCV's simply for the location. But is the TV area really big enough for 8 people? Thinking maybe I should rent 2 one bedrooms, would this be better? 2 kitchens would be nice I think, rather than a studio. Any opinions? This may give my son and his family a little more privacy, and feel like they can cook etc. if they want.

As long as you realize that two folks in each unit would be sleeping on the pull out sofa, yes, I think that is a reasonable option.

No, I don't think the Living Room at BCV, VWL or BWV (and most likely SSR too) is big enough for 8 people. You only receive 4 seats to eat at the table, and there is only a couch and one chair for watching TV. Not even enough seating IMO for 8 people. I think two one bedrooms would be a good idea, just remember as dianeschlicht said, you'll have two people in each one bedroom on the pull-out. To make the pull-out more comfortable, we bring an airmattress. We've been placing it on the floor, since our children are little and as they age, we'll probably do an add-on for more points to always be able to have a two bedroom. You can place the airmattress on top of the pull-out and use a fitted sheet from home to secure the two together so it won't slide off.

Try a Grand Villa that should take care of all your space concerns.

Two 1BRs would certainly be feasible, as would one 2BR, and if you wanted to add a styudio to the mix, fine.

What you need to tell us is the time of year and nights you are thinking of. In my calculations, rack rate for a 1BR on the weekend is a better deal than staying on points in many seasons (e.g. Early November BCV: 1BR costs 47 pts vs rack rate of $390 pre-tax or $435 after tax), while weekdays are always better with points. So if you're going over a weekend, you may want to reserve the weekend nights for cash and only rent points for the weeknights; but be sure to have the cash and points reservations linked by MS so that you don't need to move part way thru your stay.

But again, you need to be aware that certain times of year get reserved-up pretty quickly at DVC resorts, especially low points times like October, November and December, and especially at the Epcot resorts.

If it is location you want, why don't you consider a grand villa at Boardwalk...similar location...a lot more room?

Dining room seats 8, plus 2 at the bar. A lot of points, but also a lot of room.
