Can you get around the min 4 character thing in a search?

It seems I'm always wanting to search something with 3 characters! I've tried adding a * to the beginning or end of a word but I always error out after a long wait.

So how do you search something like "July and 4th"? Or BWI and room and location? I guess I'm search challenged but I just don't get this, with all the 3 letter acronyms we have on these boards . . . especially for resorts like AKL, BWI, CBR, and on and on.

Anyone help me out? Thank you

By the way I vote to change the min to 3 characters! But then again, what about users who want resort specific info on YC, BC, CS, CR . . .

I just feel like I must be missing something.

I'll be watching this thread--I have the same problem many times! Usually I will just spell out the resort or whatever instead of the acronym but I know I'm probably missing out by doing that. That's the only way I know to get around it, which isn't really getting around it at all.

Nope! There is no way to use a wildcard that I know of to get around that.

Dopeygirl - I feel the same as you. Not being able to search on an acronym really limits the useful info you get as those acronyms are so widely used. I think I miss out on a majority of the info I'm looking for since I can't do a search on less than 4 characters.

Mr. J. Cricket - thanks, but I'm bummed I think I'll include the spelling out of the resort name in any future posts I make at least once so that it'll show up in searches for people.

Maybe that would be a suggestion for the resort board!
