Can you freeze orange segments?

We're going on vacation tomorrow and I'm packing a cooler. In order to go through TSA...and keep our food cold.... I was thinking of freezing orange segments to keep our food cold until I get to go to the Starbucks and fill my ziplocks with ice.

I normally freeze grapes and that works really well... but I haven't found any good grapes at the grocery lately.

Have you ever frozen orange segments? Do they turn all yucky?

Due to the high water content, I would imagine freezing orange segments would not work very well.

You can take a frozen ice pack through security as long as it is frozen solid.
