Can you enter Epcot via International Gateway @ 9AM?

We're staying at Beach Club and would like to know if we can get to Soaring at 9 in the morning via the International Gateway even though the World Showcase area doesn't open till 11am?

Yep, you sure can. You will be able to enter and then they will steer you to the left (can't go to the right until 11 AM) and you can then walk down to what is open at 9 AM.

If you're not trying to get somewhere right at 9:00, here's a nice thing if you're at an Epcot resort. When you enter thru the IG at 9:00, the bridge to France is roped off, but there's nothing to force you to go all the way to FW. I love to sit on a bench along the way (usually near UK) and watch others walk fast/sprint towards FW. Meanwhile, while everyone else rushes, it's such an enjoyable time to just sit, listen to the music, and get to see WS empty.

Another question for you. Does this mean that the gates at the International Gateway open at 9:00 or do they let you in a little earlier so you have time to walk to Future World and there is a rope there that will drop at 9AM so you are there for the opening? Thanks!

Yes, we have been able to enter the gates at IG early, walk towards FW and meet up with the Junkadoo bus at the intersection of FW & WS at 9:00 am. Don't know if they still have that bus, but it was a special treat.

They usually let you go as far as the top of the hill to the left, that leads down to England. If you want to be one of the first on SOARIN, you have to move pretty quick becuase if you don't, those that go in through the front gate will get there first.

If you have an ADR for an early time, they will let you through to go to that without a problem.
