Depending on how long we will have before ME picks us up at the airport, we may have to grab a sandwich at the airport and bring it on the bus. Does ME allow this? If we'll have a bit of a wait, this won't be a problem, but I just thought I'd find out in advance. Thanks!

not sure, but Id LOVE to hear the answer as we will be using the ME for the 1st time in 2 weeks......also, do they have..ummm..restrooms aboard?? thanks

I'm not sure about the food, but yes, there are restrooms on it. :p

I've been on ME four times and we never had a bus with a restroom - but it's only like a 25 minute trip.

I'm not sure about the food, but I would imagine the standard "no eating or drinking on the bus" rules are in place.

You don't have to be there at any certain time, though. When you get off the plane you could grab something to eat (even shop or whatever) and just head on down to the ME check in desk when you're ready.

We had a restroom on our bus. I'm not sure about eating, but you're not locked into a set time for the pickup at the airport - you could grab something before you head to the bus if you're too hungry to wait until you get settled at the hotel.

I would say only if you bring enough to share with everyone! :rotfl: :teeth: I would think you if have kids that need a quick snack that's not going to leave a mess or you need a little bite you'd be fine.

It's such a short trip, I think a snack or drink would be just fine but you'd probably get funny looks if you started bringing Big Macs and Happy Meals, LOL. I don't know if anyone would speak to you (and I don't remember any specific warnings, but then again I wasn't looking), but it just might be odd.

Also, you never know what type of vehicle is taking you. It could be a ME bus, it could be a van. I've had a van twice before. Would be much more odd to be eating if you end up on one of those, LOL.

On the way to the airport I brought my coffee on and my son brought his waffles, sans syrup on and the driver didn't say anything. I don't know why it wouldn't be allowed.

I agree with what others have said, stop and relax & grab something to eat beforehand or afterwards, I would also assume the typical "no food or drinks on the bus" would apply.

BF had juju fruits...he was hungry...and I was prepared! It was small and simple but we were in the front seat and no one said anything.

The official bus policy at WDW is no eating or drinking on the buses. It makes sense to me that the same policy would hold for the ME buses.

If they allow eating/drinking for one person, they would have to allow it for all. Can you imagine the mess that might result? (Not saying the OP's family would make a mess, but accidents happen and not everyone is careful).

The best thing to do is ask at the ME check in desk - if the answer is no, then you can eat before you board. ME riders aren't restricted to one particular bus.

Best wishes -

I have carried bottled water onto MS, but honestly, I have never taken a meal on it.

Hi there. Last year when we used the DME, there were no bathrooms on our bus and the busdriver made it a point to ask us to put our sippy cups in the diaper bag because there was no eating or drinking allowed on the bus. Based on other people's answers it seems like all of the busses are treated differently. -Lesley

When I went on ME last year in Sept., I know we had a bathroom on our bus. As the three of us sat in the back by it. :teeth: Our bus also had the t.v.'s but the bus driver never played the little video for us, but maybe as there was like only like 8 or 9 of us on the whole bus.

For as the food thing goes I would just grab something to eat at the airport if you need to and eat it there, then go down to the board the ME bus. Or if you can just grab a little snack to eat and wait to eat at your resort/ or at the parks.

Since you don't have a reservation for a SPECIFIC Magical Express bus, you can take your time at the airport - "avail yourself of the facilities", wait for others on other flights, have something to eat, shop, etc... then whenever you're ready to head to your hotel, go check in at the DME counter.
