ADR'S for 4 people to 2?
I am definitely going to WDW in June but my friend wont know until March whether she can go.
I can make my adr's in december and i know how difficult it would be to add them later so I thought I would add them for now and then if they cant make it, I will change it to 2.
Is that possible?

I have the same problem. I already made my ADR's for 4 people because my trip is in December, but my 2 friends might still back out and then it will be 2. I was told by a few CM's that I should call back and change the reservation to 2 if there is a change and I won't have a problem. So I hope thats the case, but I'd like to know more.

I've got the opposite problem. I made reservations for six (4A+2C) and now have invited the grandparents to join us. If they decide to come, I'll be faced with having to try to figure out a way to increase a half-dozen ADRs by two diners, from six to eight.

My suspicion is that if we cannot do so officiailly, that we can probably do so at check-in at the restaurant. Does anyone have any relevant experience to share along these lines?

Based on numereous posts here, it seems easier to go down than up in the number of people. 2 people can easily sit at a table for 4 but depending on the place going from 2 to 4 or 6 to 8 or 8 to 10, then they may not have a table for you if you do not change your ADR. So if the friends cancel (or grandparents add for OP), I would call and change your ADR if possible. If not for the PP who is going down in size, I would just go up to the restaurant and tell them that 2 people couldn't make it. You should be fine. For the OP adding 2, you can try the same thing but it may take them longer to get you a table if you unexpectedly add people.
