Can you downgrade to QS?

I am staying at a moderate resort, if free dining is offered can I get the QS instead of the dining plan? I know, that you all will think I am nuts but I have 3 children and I know they wouldn't want to sit down every day for a table service. They maybe would do 1 or 2 but get sick of it quick. I think we would benefit more from the QS and the extra snack etc. I know that I can use a table service credit for QS.

If it was my husband and I alone, that would be a different story.

No, you can't downgrade. There have been rumors in the past that once you are in the parks/restaurants they will let you exchange TS for CS credits, but those stories vary widely by person and dates.

We have 4 kids and we love having 1 TS credit per day. We have done the basic, 1TS, 1CS, 1 Snack per person per day at least 7 times and it's always worked out great.

Thanks for your reply. I haven't done a TS for a while, but is there a lot of wait time involved? My kids are so happy to be at Disney that I could hardly get them to stop and slow down for a QS meal.

Probably my chances of getting reservations are slim too. Where have you eaten that your kids have enjoyed? Buffets aren't my fave but I could probably do a few.

I don't think we have ever waited more than 20 minutes for so to be seated for our advance dining reservations. Most sit-down/table service meals last about an hour to an hour and a half. Which is nice when you need a break to rest for a little while.

I don't know your dates, so the best thing to do is go to the WDW dining site and put in your dates and see what is available.

Perfect chance to book a few Character meals if you can get ADRs, all the kids there will be hyper so it is not a problem.
