Ok... before I get too excited... can this all REALLY be done for $15,000? I want to start planning, but I am hesitant. We will be paying for it ALL ourselves and thus $15,000 is really my max!

Can a ceremony, brunch, and dessert party truly be done for 35-40 people really be done for this amount? I don't need anything "extra".... just the basics.... any and all help is greatly appreciated!!!:upsidedow

I got engaged tonight.... and to make a long story short.... can you do it for $25k on a Saturday.... prices don't go up, just the minimum right?

Yes it can be done. Carrie (lurkyloo) did it :) She has a gorgeous wedding and it is being featured in a magazine. I'm sure she will come along and tell you how she did it!

It can definately be done. We had ceremony, pre-reception, reception and IllumiNations Dessert Party for around $18,000. We had some extras also, Mickey and Minnie and the MK Shoot. If you take away both of these that is about $2,500. I am sure there are afew other things that could be cut out to definately fall under your max. We had 50 people.

ooh i'd love to be able to keep it at $15,000!

hopefully we will be able to do it!!

this site makes me want everything at my wedding! hehe!!

absolutely!!! if you take out our 'extras' (mickey & minnie, large attendant gifts, etc) we did it for about 15k for 70 people! So your number is definately do-able!! :)

I am not sure what your total budget is, but I think it is imprtant to remember that Disney only gets a portion. You still need officiant, rings, travel, dress, suit, so in our total fees only about 50% actually went to Disney.

Just somethign to remember :)

We did our wedding back when the lowest minimum was $10,000, and we only went $70 over (before tax and service charge, which do NOT count toward the minimum and will add at least $1,700 to your total.) As others have mentioned, this was the portion paid to Disney, but we were able to keep our other expenses way down due to bargain shopping (got my dress on eBay!), craft-making and negotiating with vendors for customized packages at lower prices.

Now that your minimum is up to $25,000 you prolly don't need my cost-cutting advice, though! :rotfl:

wow!!! congratulations!!! working with 25k will definately make your planning more fun!!! :) Yay!!!!! Cant wait to start seeing your plans!!!

our was a 75 dollars over 15000. we had 48 guest, ceremony at epcot, reception at ADH, dessert party at hollywood studios for fantasmic. We had a customized brunch menu as well as mickey and minnie. however that does not count the cost for our photographer and videographer. with the two it brought our total to about 1900.00. so you can do it.

Cost cutting ideas are ALWAYS welcome! The more you cut the costs on the things that matter less the more you have to pay for the things that you care about!!! :goodvibes

Oh and now the guest numbers might be up closer to 70.... I guess I ruined the point of this thread!!! Cost saving ideas are always welcome though!

Just wanted to say congratulations on getting engaged!:goodvibes

We had ours ready andbooked before canceling... and we had it for 11,000. That was getting married in the WP, brunch reception in the attic, the firework boat thingie and a illuminations dessert party. I got alot of help fromthe girls on here and they are wonderful so I promise you can do it. You may just have to stick to your guns on certain thingslol

Good luck!!

This may be a little off topic, but does anyone know if the minimums go up for Valentine's Day and if so is it signifigantly higher? Im not getting married for several years still, but Valentine's Day has been our anniversary for five years now and we would like to keep it that way when we get married! Our wedding will probably be at least 20k, so Im really just concerned about a super high 30k plus minimums. Also, if we waited until our 10 year anniversary it will be a special date: 2/14/2014! Do you think it would be even higher for that? Thanks for your help!

Wow thats forever from now! lol! Just so you know most holidays go up quite a bit we were going to do new years eve for instance and were told for holidays the minimum was 30000 and that was the old prices...I don't think the year will make any difference.. Also, remember I'm sure they will have a lottery for that day considering it is v-day which makes it much harder to get !

Valentines day is so popular with Disney - they tend to do a lot of events esp when it is on the weekend like this year.
