Can you do Animal Kingdom in 4 hours?

Also, you really should try to make it to Festival of the Lion King and Finding Nemo the Musical. I thought both were exceptional shows. If you're a bird lover, try to go to Flights of Wonder, too!

Even if you aren't a bird lover, go to Flights of Wonder. Sit up in the bleachers on the right side, about four or five rows from the top. All I'm going to say but you can come back and thank me later.

We could spend 4 very enjoyable hours at AK, but we'd need to go back and spend more time - at least another full day - there later during vacation. While it's not heavily ride-oriented, it's a great park to meander around.

No way. We do 1 1/2 days, sometimes two. There are shows to see and trails to explore and beauty abounds at the AK.

No way. BOG lunch isn't worth cutting short AK. Give AK it's due :) Just my opinion of course.

It depends on how much you want to do. Personally I always finish AK in a couple of hours because its my least favorite park. As long as you make your fastpasses for that time you should be okay but again there's a lot you want be able to do. If the biggies are Everest, Dinosaur and maybe the safari that should be enough. Go really early at rope drop and try to have a fast pass or two.

I really love AK, I would never give up a day there for BOG; it's not that amazing to my family. I love the shows in AK and they are a must do for my family. I think your better off eating lunch at flame tree BBQ, AK closes earlier than the other parks so you can stay till closing but you can prob do most by 3 and head over to MK for the evening if you want.

We always go to Flame tree for lunch then Boma over at the AKL for dinner.

I guess it depends on when you go and who you're with (if you'll be there during a busy time of year, if you're traveling with children, etc), but I think 2 hours for 4 rides is a bit ambitious - unless you don't mind being a little winded by the time you're headed out of the park  It all comes down to what's more important to you. Eating at BOG or being at AK. I've only had dinner at BOG - once - and it was really awesome, I have to admit. But, I lucked into it during soft-opens. We practically had the restaurant to ourselves and they were probably trying to be on their A game so that we would rave about it to all of our family and friends.

That being said, I absolutely love AK and wouldn't skip the park for a lunch at BOG (again, never having had lunch there). Sure it's a cool atmosphere, but Animal Kingdom really is an awesome park, and even though a lot of people only give it half a day, there's plenty to occupy your entire day there.

The only circumstance I would give a park 2 hours is if I was on my own and it was my last day, and I had some time to "kill" before my ME pick-up time at the resort. I would find myself too rushed otherwise. But like I said, it really all comes down to what you'd rather do and your "touring" style. I'm sure you could pull it off, it just wouldn't be what I would recommend. I tend to be on the laid-back side though - I've put in my time trying to get from ride to ride so that I feel satisfied that I've "done" enough (and there's absolutely nothing wrong with "ride hopping", as I like to call it), but now it's all about enjoying the parks for the parks and its less about the rides for me. Old age, I guess? :rotfl:

Unless we can move our BOG ressie to later.. we have from 9am until about 11am to do AK (BOG @12, would we even make it??). Is it possible to do Animal Kingdom in 2 hours? Planning on getting there before it opens so we can run to mount everest haha! No fast passes for this day, as we're going to MK for the remainder of the day.
You can do it, but that doesn't mean you should do it. Really, you need to spend a good 6 hours to really do the park. Spending less means passing up some good stuff. The park has so many details and little things that you would miss by rushing past them to get to the big attractions. AK is not a park to be rushed.

We are like the OP too. Only want to ride Safari, Kali, Everest, Dino, and Its Tough to be a Bug. Don't care any of the shows other than the one mentioned. We will be there at rope drop this year and are hoping to get to leave by about 3pm. As for the "why even go?" Because we enjoy the rides and will have park hoppers. Why not?

We could! Four hours would be plenty for us. That's not to say it's optimal to experience AK like that, but you can hit the high points. :earsboy:

ETA: If you're doing Kali, save it for the last thing before exiting the park. You'll be drenched and either need some time to dry, or have a change of clothing at hand.

Two hours is definitely not enough time to get in, ride 4 attractions in different parts of the park (Safari alone will take at least 20 minutes not counting any walking/queue time), and get out of DAK. Then you have only an hour to get from DAK to MK, get in and to the back of the park. You might, by a miracle, pull it off, but it is highly unlikely and will not be very enjoyable.

For what it's worth, I too would not give up my day at DAK for BOG lunch, or ANY restaurant reservation. We looooove the restaurants and they are a big part of our trips, but no restaurant is worth missing out on enjoying one of the parks, IMO. :)

We do 3 or mayb 4 parks in a day. If we start on AK we get there at early entry for guests then we do Everest, the animal Safari and one or two others. Out by 11. Always works.
