Hi everyone :sunny: I think I've got the almost final draft done...Can you give me your thoughts? A little background...going to WDW in October with my 2 dd's almost 12 & almost 7. We went last year as well & had the time of our lives (ok, or so I thought). I'm surprising them this year with another trip. Dh isn't coming along..he's already "done Disney twice" :rotfl: :rotfl: The girls & I while we don't commando tour. We like to be gone from the time we get up till the time we crash. We don't like afternoon breaks at the hotel. We like to sit somewhere in the parks & have a treat & relax.

9/30 - Arrive MCO 10am, ME to POP, head over to MK for afternoon/evening touring. Try to tour Fantasyland/Tomorrowland Lunch at Casey's corner, dinner at Crystal Palace 6:25. Stay for Spectro & Wishes.

10/1 - Breakfast at POP, Animal Kingdom at opening. Rainforest 1pm, Parade 4pm. Back to POP after parade for swimming/small snack/dinner.

10/2 - Epcot in am, not necessarily at opening. Test Track/Soarin. Norway Lunch at 1pm. Either stay at Epcot or head back for a rest. Perhaps go to MNSSHP that night? Can't decide.

10/3 - Sea World today. Bus to TTC, Lynx bus to SW. Dinner with Shamu. SeaWorld open 9a-7p. Lynx back to TTC & perhaps catch Illuminations if we want to head over to Epcot. Depends on what time we leave SeaWorld. May not stay there all day.

10/4 - MGM day. Breakfast at POP. We don't do a lot at MGM. TOT, Beauty & the Beast, Star Tours. SciFi lunch 12:15. Stay for Parade at 4. Back to POP. Spirit of Aloha at 8pm. (not sure if I'm keeping this one or not)

10/5 - Late morning. DTD at 11am for BBB for girls. Lunch at Wolfgang Puck. MNSSHP - MK at 4..LTT 5:30. Make sure to ride Haunted M. at midnight.

10/6 - Late morning. Epcot Garden Grill at 11. Tour World Showcase & do Kidcot stops. Chef Mickeys at 7:40.

Saturday 10/7 - MK at opening. Bakery for breakfast, CRT 1:30 lunch.. Stay for afternoon parade. & then either stay or back to POP

10/8 - Crystal Palace at 8:am. The girls choice - either hop to Epcot or stay at MK. Lunch at either Pecos or somewhere in Epcot. Back to POP by 4:30 to leave for airport ME at 5:30.

If you've read this far THANK YOU!!!!! I'd love your thoughts/opinions!

Wow, sure sounds nice to me, Chris, wish I was going too. I can see no improvements, looks great!! Enjoy. :thumbsup2

Wow, I couldn't imagine having very detailed plans with times and stuff. Basically my itinerary is:

Morning - Epcot
Evening - MGM

I like to leave myself open to just do what I feel at that moment. I would be too stressed out if I had to be certain places at certain times.

The only potential flaw I can see (and it may not be for you three) is that the first day is going to be a long day. You will probably not get much sleep the night before (For obvious reasons. You're going to DISNEY!), and you'll probably have to be up very early. With that schedule, you'll be nonstop until 11pm or so (not sure how late MK is open that night).

While you'll probably make the first day on adrenaline alone, fatigue might catch up to you on the second or third day. It looks like you have some down time scheduled for the second day, so hopefully that'll help. Either way, as long as you are willing to be flexible, it's so easy to have a great time down there! Have a great time! :goodvibes

Thanks Matt...I had thought of that....we might not stay at MK for the Spectro & Wishes....it's just that it's our very favorite thing at all of Disney...I think if I suggest we head back before I'll be overthrown!

No problem. Like I said, if you are willing to be flexible, then you'll be alright. You'll probably be fine anyway since you have an open afternoon the second day and a potential nap the third day.

But if you are all getting tired and cranky, you as the Mom have to make the executive decision. It's not a democracy, it's a dictatorship! ;) And you'll all be better off for it!

HAHAHAH I LOVE that ! I may just have to quote you on that!!!!!!!

Any thoughts on the SOA show? How about 2 MNSSHP? I still am undecided on those 2 things.

Go ahead. You can quote me. I'll take the heat. :firefight

I've never done SOA, so I can't talk about how good it may be, but as for going or not.......well, you will be up until midnight the next night to ride HM, so turning in early the night before won't necessarily be the worst thing. But then again, you are sleeping in late the next day. Hmmm... I think you should keep it on the agenda, and then adjust on the fly if necessary. Don't hype it up to your DD's, so if you do decide to call it a night, they won't be overly disappointed.

For MNSSHP, have you been before? Since it's separate admission, you want to make sure your DD's are going to make it for most of the night to make it worth the extra cost. Since you already have one night of MNSSHP scheduled, maybe 10/2 would be a good night to take your time around Epcot or DTD or you could tour the Deluxe Resorts using the monorail. But it's always tough for me to say no to spending an evening at MK! So for this part of the plan, the adult in me says to take it easy that night while the kid in me says MNSSHP! Sorry, not much help there.

What about Fantasmic? Are you going back to MGM to see that---IMHO, it shouldn't be missed! :-D I think that MNSSHP would be wonderful for you and your DDs--after all, it's a vacation! Have fun with it!

The first day sounds really full for me too. You will probably get to your resort around 11:00 if you are lucky maybe 11:30. To do fantasyland and tomorrowland before lunch sounds unrealistic. Maybe go to tomorrowland, have a light lunch, so you will be hungry at 6:25. Do as much tomorrowland after lunch and if you finish, then move toward fantasyland so you will be headed toward Crystal Palace, and just do as much as you can do. Your kids are old enough to tough it out. Grab a snack and sit and relax waiting for Wishes. Have a great time! You actually planned a lighter day on your second day and I think that is really smart. AK is a huge park though, very spread out. I would try to hit Fantasmic if you can, it is awesome! So I think everything else looks great! I am arriving on 10/8 and you will be leaving!!!

Hi,
You're there almost the exact same time we were last year. I probably wouldn't do MNNSHP twice. We did it on the 2nd last year and it was fun, but don't think worth doing twice in the same week. Just my opinion. Otherwise it looks great. You're like us we like to go all day w/out a nap back at the room. Have fun! I wish our trip was coming up that quick!

Hey You're arriving on the same day as me! I'm going to MK that night for sure. I'm also doing MNSSHP on the 5th.

On the 2nd we're going to try for Fantasmic at MGM, and you may want to consider cirque du soliel on the 1st. They play at 6pm and 9pm.

I'm ordering all my tickets next week, I hope they aren't sold out. :P

You can see my plan here, though I keep tweaking it. http://www.disboards.com/showthread.php?t=1138060

ok I've tweaked a bit.....

9/30 - Arrive MCO 10am, ME to POP, head over to MK for afternoon/evening touring. First stop Casey's Corner for lunch...then tour as much of fantasyland/tomorrowland as possible, dinner at Crystal Palace 6:25.

Stay at Epcot for Illuminations.

10/3 - Sea World today. Bus to TTC, Lynx bus to SW. Dinner with Shamu. SeaWorld open 9a-7p. Lynx back to TTC, rest swim at POP

10/4 - MGM day. Breakfast at POP. We don't do a lot at MGM. TOT, Beauty & the Beast, Star Tours. SciFi lunch 12:15. Stay for Parade at 4. Back to POP. Spirit of Aloha at 8pm.

That gives us 2 1/2 days at MK, almost 2 full days at Epcot, 1 for AK & MGM each. I took out the 2nd MNSSHP and opted to stay for Illuminations instead of trying to get back to Epcot on another night. Of course flexibility is the key! We really enjoy Epcot so we spend a lot of time there. The only piece missig would be Fantasmic. I have all the afternoon parades/night shows in there except that one. We could hop over on Saturday 10/7 if the girls want to see it...my youngest dd was 110% freaked out by it last year...so not sure if she'll want to go.

Thanks everyone for your input!!!

Hi! We will be there the same time you will! Maybe you'll spot me at LTT at 5:30 on 10/5 before MNSSHP!!!! :teeth:

I've got different parks planned than you except for the 5th. Unfortunately, we are arriving too late to do a park on 9/30. So, we are doing a morning at MK on 10/1 because as hard as a try, I can't NOT see the castle first thing!! LOL :cool1:

edited because I forgot I wasn't posting on TGM! Can't give away secrets!

MyZoeJane - ok now you've got me worried!!!! I tried to use TGM last year & just couldn't get the hang of utilizing the website. Am I doing something REALLY bad in my trip plan?????????????????????????????

The OP mentioned going to the TTC and catching a lynx bus to sea World. What is a Lynx bus, and do they go to KSC?

Cheers

Bruce

Bruce - I'm not sure KSC is but Lynx is the local Orlando bus service. I know they stop at the TTC for SeaWorld. You can check out their schedules at
www.golynx.com

I don't think so!!! Sorry it took me awhile to get back around to checking this thread... LOL

TGM has multiple "green" parks for each day.... Don't worry! I checked for you... You're all green except for your first and last days.... which, if you're anything like me, ABSOLUTELY MUST begin and end at MK, whatever the crowd level. :cool1:

I'll have my limegreenmickeypaintchip at LTT at 5:30 on 10/5... if ya see me, do come say hi! pirate:
