Can you compare the Mummy to EE or R & R at WDW??

If you can handle Space Mountain then you can handle the Mummy.

The thing that makes Mummy easier to ride, IMHO, is that the two coaster sections are very short with a little break in between. That gives you time to catch your breath and prepare yourself again. The launch is nothing. Don't even give it a second thought. Once you ride it once, you won't even notice it. It is just like someone gives you a big push up a hill.

I like it a whole lot better than Space Mountain or EE.

Ride it. It is a blast.

I am the biggest coaster wuss in the world. I have ridden Hulk once due to a bet that I lost to my then 12 year old son (which is also why I have the tag I do.) That was enough for me.

I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE Mummy. You can't keep me off of it. A perfect day in Universal for me would be running back and forth between MIB and Mummy and throw in a Horror Show or two.

If I can enjoy it, anybody can.

And once Rockit gets thrown in there, it will be such an amazing loop!!!

Thanks goofy. I'm the coaster wuss, she is the scardy cat. I just got her to watch pirates of the carribean. pirate: Between the two :confused3

Nah, you can keep Rockit :scared: :faint:

Although, the rest of my family can't wait for it to open.:goodvibes

Don't sweat the Mummy ride, my son is 6 and loves it.:thumbsup2

I just posted this story on another Mummy thread, but it fits here too!

When we were there last week, we overheard a son in his 30's telling his dad who was in his 60's about the ride. Obviously it had been a while since he rode it OR his memory was really bad, because this was the description he gave...."It's just like Pirates, but without the water." :crazy2: After the ride the we heard the father saying, "Wow, that is NOT what I expected." :rotfl:

So I would compare it most to Space Mountain (but WAY cooler!!). The coaster part is all inside, dark, no big drops, nothing upside down. But I would never compare it to Pirates!

OH that is funny. Well we will all be trying it tomorrow well except my 10 year old that checked it out on You Tube. He does that for all rides he is thinking of riding. He thinks it looks TOO FAST. :rotfl2:

See thats why I wouldnt let me nephew watch any videos that would scare him. I just tell him its just like Dumbo but in the dark. :rotfl: I know I am a terrible person.

The videos for Mummy seem to make it look fast...everyone of them! When you actually get on the ride, it's slower (not slow by any means, but slower than expected) which can be a let-down for coaster junkies or blessing for first timers:cool1:
