Can you check in the night before?

We will be staying at a relative's home in Orlando the night before we check in to our WDW resort hotel. We are planning to hit MK bright and early the next day (our check-in day) so I really don't want to stop by the resort at the crack of dawn to check-in before we go to the parks. I know we can check-in online but I need the parking pass so that I can park for free at MK.

The night before, we are eating dinner at Boma so I am wondering if we can stop by our resort after and at least get our parking pass for the next day?

Anyone done this?

You don't really need a parking pass, if that's the sole reason you want to check in early. Most resorts no longer give out parking passes as a general rule. The attendants at the parking booths just scan your magic band. It will tell then if you have a valid resort stay for that day.

You should be just fine by doing the online check-in.

You would not be able to stop by the night before to check-in. The computers don't roll over to recognize it as the next day until 6am day-of. That would be the earliest you could check in at the resort.

Yes, you just scan your MB for parking. As long as your resort stay is valid on that day, that's all you need.

You can check in as early as 6AM if you want to.

Are they still giving out paper parking passes at the resorts? I thought they'd gone over to checking Magic Bands at the resort and theme park lots.

As recently as last May, we received a parking pass at Wilderness Lodge. We hadn’t received one at CBR the year before. Doesn’t seem very consistent.

I asked for and received a paper pass at All Star Sports in Feb. I find it easier to just wave the pass at the attendants than have to get my MB scanned.

We got a parking pass at BW in November. It's very inconsistent, though. We get them sometimes, and sometimes we don't.

We haven't gotten a parking pass in a long time. They have scanned Magic Bands, both at the resort parking gate (there is usually an automated one that you don't have to talk to the guard) and at the parks.

I didn't get a parking pass at BWI, ASMo or BC August 2017. The parking lot person at the parks (and at the hotels) just scanned my MB. Same for our earlier trips in 2017.

We stayed at VGF last month and received a paper pass. We loved just showing it to the guards at the park gates!

We did not however for OKW

The toll parking cms were fairly inconsistent in scanning or just waving us through.

The parking CMs seem to be spot checking to keep the traffic moving. Sometimes they check, sometimes they don't. Perhaps they check more earlier in the day and slack off in the evening.
