Kev - I believe it's now been restarted and is profiled in the latest Virgin brochure - now someone will prove me wrong!

That's great news if true. The DD check-in really allowed you to have a full day's fun on your last day, knowing that your were safely checked-in and all your luggage was looked after. The DD check-in was the reason we flew with Virgin rather than any other airline, and I'd love to see it return.

Mentions the DD check-in service. But, I haven't heard anything about it being reopened. I would have expected Virgin to be very public about it?

I've just phoned Virgin and according to customer services DD check-in is shut. However, you never know they may open it again although the lady I spoke to seemed to think it was permanent.

The little hut and everything had gone when we were there at Easter because we drove over just to check if they might have reopened it.
It is a real shame as this was just such a convenient service.
