Can you charge MagicBand to pay for small vendor purchases?

Hello!
We plan on utilizing the option to link a credit card to our MagicBands so that we can pay for purchases in the park. It sounds nice to not have to worry about carrying cash and cards every day.
During our visit last year (we did not have MagicBands) there were several occasions when we had to pay cash at the smaller vendors. Example: the cast members walking around with balloons, bubble makers/glow sticks at Fantasmic!, and the tickets for Fossil Fun games at AK.

Does anyone know if you can use your magicband/charge for these types of purchases now? Or will we still need cash for those items?

Those small, walk around vendors do not have the ability to accept charges at this time.

I guess you will always need cash for some things!
