Can you change payment method for CRT ADR?

I managed to book a breakfast for the 5 of us at Cinderella's table in November. My oldest son is 9 years old but we upgraded him to an adult for Disney purposes since his birthday is in December.

I made the ADR kind of frantically since it popped up one day when I was searching. I just hit the button to have the reservation secured with dining plan credits. Now I'm wondering if we'd be better off paying out of pocket since it's just breakfast and use our credits somewhere else.

Is it possible to change the ADR to being paid with a credit card? Would I need to do that ahead of time or can I make the change when we arrive? Since CRT is a prepaid reservation, I wasn't sure how that would work....

My situation is just the opposite of yours. I made a reservation for breakfast in November last May for 8 of us and paid for it with my Credit Card and now we have free dining and want to use our credits for it. I called them and they said I should just tell them at the time of the meal that I want to use my dining plan credits and they will credit my card. So I bet you can do the same thing, just tell them that morning that you want to pay OOP for your meal and not use you credits. I would take a good look at my receipt though and make sure they don't use your dining credits and charge your card.

Changing the payment method happens frequently so just tell your server how you want to pay for the meal.

We reserved via credit card and when we got to the restuarant we told them we wanted to use our DP credits. No problems at all.
