Can you change discounted tickets?

Sorry if this is somewhere and I missed it. I bought a discounted hopper thru the Dapper day convention link. Due to changes at work I may not be able to go at that time, hoping to change to maybe Feb. I asked the customer service chat in the app and they told me to call customer service. Before I waste time on hold, I thought I would ask here.

This is the fine print at the bottom of the convention ticket page. I think this is a safe bet: You will have to apply the value you paid and make up the difference for regular-price Parkhoppers. In the past, you would do this at the ticket booth. But these days you will want to do it by phone to secure your new reservation days. Hope it works out for you.

After the expiration date, the price paid for a wholly unused ticket can be applied to the purchase of a new ticket with an equal or higher price.

So I haven't got thru to Ticketing. I was able to change my reservations to dates in January, but I was surprised it worked. I suppose once the date of the cheap tickets have passed, it will no longer work?

The reservation system is new for tickets, so you are in uncharted water. I would guess they will honor your reservation but, if the tickets are expired by then, you will have to upgrade the tickets before entering. And who knows the logistics of the reservation carrying over during the new ticket process.

I don't think anyone but Disney ticketing can give you a solid answer. I would really try to get this resolved by phone, if at all possible, before your trip.

So I got thru to ticketing. It makes me nervous, but they told me that as long as I keep my reservations, when i get to the ticket booth then i pay the difference for regular tickets.
