I suppose not if it brings the total package price down?

How about if you use the code/PIN that brings the price down, but then add dining, so the total price goes up?

You can use a code after you have paid in full, but you will be charged a change fee (about $50/ressie). They will refund the LAST ccard charged for the reservation any difference.

So, if a deal or PIN comes out, even after you have paid in full, call and see how much of a savings it will be... sometimes every little bit helps!

This is partially true... you're only charged a change fee if you're within your 45 days on a package. If you have a room only, or paid in full prior to reaching your 45 days, then there's not an issue.

However, all Disney discounts are subject to availability, and most likely if you attempt to use a code they will cancel your previous reservation and rebook you within the availability of the particular deal that you're trying to use.

Adding dining can be done to a Room Only reservation up to 5 days before the reservation starts, but if you add dining you will have to pay in full as your reservation will be switched to a package.

The overall price doesn't matter in the eyes of Disney, it depends on the kind of change that is being made.
For a package, if the change results in a rate change (any rate change), then it's a $50 fee, but if you cancel outright within 45 days then there's a $100 fee, and if it's within 6 days a $200 fee.

How can you add dining to a room only reservation? I booked a room only reservation with a pin and when I tried to add dining, I was told I couldn't do it.
