Can you cash a check at the resorts??

Can you cash checks at the resorts you are staying at??? I know there are probably ATM's somewhere. Thanks

I haven't done this in a while but a couple of years ago, I wandered off without my ATM card and was able to cash a $50 check at the front desk. Not sure whether you can still do this.

I tried to cash a check at Coronado Springs after we were delayed by a snow storm in the East. We had to stay two more nights. The CM took my check and promptly applied it to my room bill. I said no, I needed the cash now. She directed me to the ATM in the lobby..... She said she couldn't just cash a check.... Fortunatly I had an ATM card with me.

While you used to be able to cash a check at your hotel lobby ($50.00/day), Disney will no longer take checks at any giftshop, or cash a check. (You can still use a check to pay your resort stay, tho.)
