Can you carry on a Harry Potter Wand?

We are flying home tomorrow and bought one of the interactive wands. Will we be able to carry it on or will it have to go in a checked bag?

We have, several times. We keep the wands in their boxes and put them in very easy to get to spots in DS's backpack. There's never been a question.
