Can you call check in

I need to fight for a particular loop - but I want to check in early - can I call check in?

Sorry, but I don't understand what you are asking. Are you going to go to the Fort and check in early? And you want to call before you get there? I am pretty sure that will not do you much good. The campsites are assigned a few days before you arrive. If the loop you want is full, there is not much anyone can do on the day of your check-in. If you want to make a phone call, it couldn't hurt. In my experience, though, when you call the "front-desk" the person who answers the phone isn't at the front desk at all, so I think your best bet is to be there in person.

Shhh... If you promise not to tell, I'll share a little secret with you that sometimes works for me.

Before going thru the guard at FtW, park in the day lot and take a bus to the loop you wish to stay in. Walk the loop and see if there are any sites available that you would like to stay in & be certain to write down the site #'s. If you can, choose 3 or four sites.

Then, take a bus back to check-in - don't get your TT or RV just yet, and go to a check in CM. Tell the CM which sites you would like to be in - in order of preference. The check-in CM's can, and often do sprinkle their own brand of pixie dust and voila' - you're in one of the sites you would like. Sometimes, even if you're early, this site has been released for occupancy by Mousekeeping, and in you go. Sometimes you have to wait until 1pm to actually confirm the site before you are able to go to it.

Now, I just want to warn you that this method doesn't always work, but I have been successful more times than unsuccessful. Remember that this is a last ditch effort to get a loop that you want if you didn't request a particular loop 5 days prior to your check in date. Good luck!

Don't worry. Everything is going to work out fine.

Non-confrontational is the best way to go with castmembers anyway.

If they can put you on the loop you are looking for, they will.

All you have to do is ask.

If that doesn't work, I don't think the confrontation part will do any good.

I thought you were flying in on the 24th, staying in the Premium for one night, then DH arriving with the car on the 25th??

If that is the case, then YOU can go to the front desk at 6am on the 25th and get checked in and request the loop you need. Then when your DH arrives just give him the key card and you all move over to your new site.

Actually got a call from disney yesterday am saying they were able to grant my several faxed requests and keep us on a partial site - it still even says "fort friends" group on our reservation - but partial loop. I should be happy - I know - I just really want 1500. That - they couldnt help with. we still have to check out on the 24th and check back back in but we shouldnt have to move.
